I have 25 steps.....

I think it's different for each rank, bronze star and chromestar the steps are quite small as are the coins you receive. Silverstar upwards takes a lot more playing to receive any coins.

For instance my steps seem to be 100 vpp's earned in order for me to receive 275 coins

Games could easily get tougher if the regs drop stakes and grind primarily to stack the fish rather than battle with other regs at their limits,
Do you see the regs cascading down the stakes as they see the top sharks dropping in stakes?

I mean regs will not remain at their current stake if they see the upper level dropped one step; so they will drop also, and on and on.

I've seen a few Supernovas playing Zoom at nl10. I don't know their motivation to play that low in stakes.
