Casino Poker League: $10,000 ME WSOP Seat up for Grabs, Harrahs Joliet, IL

So tonight is Week 1 of the Poker League, and I plan to play each week until it's clear I have no chance or that I win a spot into one of the finals or semi-finals to play for the seat.

Anyone else near Chicago planning on playing? Anyone done something similar?

There were 36 people there. Buy in was $65 with a $5 or $10 add-on. I guess they took a good chunk towards the final ME prize package, paid out top 4 spots ($900 prize pool).

I took 2nd place for $225 when my 66 didn't hold up against 89o when he binked a 9 on the turn. 1st was the same guy earlier, with about 8 people left had 1 big blind and binked a 9 on the river to beat out my AJs that had two higher cards and a flush draw after the flop...

Oh well, was a good time, and I'm 2nd in points now and won a couple more buy-ins.
