Hello everyone,

I've been playing online poker at unibet for years now but have become more interested in pokerstars since joining this forum. I read a lot of positive things about this poker provider and would like to get started playing online poker on PokerStars.

My preference is mainly for low stakes (Micro) tournaments. Do you have any good tips which tournaments are interesting to start with?

I'm looking forward to your tips!

It depends on your budget and preferences, and how much time you are able to allocate. Apart from "standard" tournaments, which begin with 100BB stacks and usually have 10 minute blind intervals (5 minute if labeled "turbo"), PokerStars also offer:

* 45-180 man SnGs with 5 (turbo), 10 or 15 minute blind intervals
* "Big" is a featured series, where players start with 167BB.
* "Deep" is pretty much the same as "Big" but with slightly longer late registration.
* "Hot" is pretty much the same as "Big" but its a turbo with 5 minute blind intervals.
* "Main" tournaments in various forms, which usually start with 200BB stacks like the "Daily Starter", "Daily Marathon" etc.

In top of this there are also a ton of different PKOs including "Bounty Builder", which are the largest PKO events and "On Demand Bounty Builder", which as the name says runs on demand. PKOs are so popular on Stars these days, that they are even turning some of the other featured formats into PKOs like some of the "Hot". So somewhat confusingly a "Hot" can now also sometimes be a PKO event.

Your first game at PokerStars was: 07/18/2020 !!! It's strange that you haven't decided what to play yet !!! If you want to play tournaments in the range of 0.10-1 $, then there are many of them at Pokerstars.es

if you mean micro below 2$ games the 0,55 and 1.10 that turn are pretty nice
they also have a sit&go's at 0.02 0,10 0,25 0,50 and 1$ for you to play those are pretty decent since you can pick from 18, 45, 90,180, players depending on the buy-in would try to check what one (or all) fits for you!

Hope this helps!

Yes, I did create an account on PokerStars a year ago, but never played again. The reason for this was that it was too extensive and unclear for me.

I've been on vacation since last week and made another deposit on PokerStars. Now that I have some time to delve into this poker room, I've asked the question!

In any case, I am happy and grateful for the answers I have received from the other members.

Hi fundiver199! Thank you very much for your interesting and comprehensive answer.

I have just found the 45-180 man SnGs and this seems very interesting to me to play with low stakes.

In addition, the PKO tournaments are also very challenging and fun. I also play these tournaments on other poker providers and enjoy them very much.

Thanks again for your answer :)

I also love micro tournaments. However, I don't play that at Poklerstars. The reason is they are extremely long and the players are also unpredictable. If micro, then multi table SNG.

PokerStars has a very large selection of such tournaments. You will be surprised how many of them. I chose satellites for myself, with a buy-in of up to $ 5.5.

Try sit and go.

1.5 18 or 45 man

2.5 180 man (bankroll Booster if you win)

If you are on a bad run try spin and go

Hope this helps good luck!

In addition to the above formats, sit&go knockout poker with 6 or 9 people is also very interesting.
This format can be played with buy ins from 1 dollar.
If you are a little skilled you can easily achieve profit with this.

Bounty Builder tournaments can also be good because the number of entrants is large and with one good KO you can already profit before ITM.
Even 250-350 Cap tournaments (from $ 1.10 to $ 3.30) are good because the number of entrants is just ideal for the amount you can win.
Good luck.

Hello.
Pay attention to the satellites, especially on weekends, when there are a lot of prizes and it is quite possible to get a place in a good, promising tournament.

Yes thanks for the suggestions! I used to only play online poker on Unibet. But since I really got into PokerStars, I've come across many different low buy in tournaments and different play formats. Over the next few weeks/months, I'll be taking a closer look at the interesting possibilities :).

I think pko and sng are very well suited to start with, sng with 25 cents, since for 2 and 10 cents are more like a lottery.

+1 for playing PKO MTTs if you like bounty games. The only problem is Stars recently removed the 0.55 and 1.10 bounty builders, so the 2.20+ options available might not fit in your bankroll.

One option that worked well for me is playing the (1R-1A) hyper turbo satellites that are in your bankroll. These have a good RoI for cashing (10X buy-in) and you just have to score one bounty to be in profit. You just have to be prepared for a high variance game, given it's a hyper-turbo.

Good luck :beerglass!

I recommend 1.10 sin n go's or 0.10 in case you have a tiny deposit. The tournaments are great but PS rakeback sucks and that it the biggest problems. The rakeback comes in loot crates that give you tickets to tournaments and some starcoins which wirth few pennies, in my experience barely a 30% if not less...

Yes, the 1.10 SnG are a lot of fun to play ! Furthermore, you are right that the PS rakeback and the rewards are not that interesting. But compared to some other poker providers, PokerStars has a lot more different tournaments which makes playing on PS fun!

I recommend the elimination reward tournaments, you can make a profit just by eliminating a certain number of players

Of course the best are the Majors like Hots und Bigs (Turbo and NonTurbo).
For instance Hot 3.30 or Big 2.20 and similiar mtts.
I also like the 600cap or 350 cap and such mircro tourneys with a smaller field.
There you can win less but can experience more final tables.
And I also like the sats, for instance 3.30 sat to Big 33.
There are a lot of weaker players and sometimes, if we are lucky, we have a nice overlay in those satellites.

My friend, if you make a minimum deposit of for example$ 10, then I would advise you to go to the cis 0.25 and start playing them to develop a bankroll higher, drive up to$ 50 and then try tournaments for $ 0.50, or continue further in the cis from 0.50 and above.

Go to the client and click tournaments (micro) in the lobby, then you will figure out what to play
