Is anyone playing on the Bar Poker Open site? It's a monthly subscription type site ($29 per month), but they have $1,000 tournaments every Friday and Saturday and a monthly Tournament of Champions with a $5,000 prize pool (next month's is actually $10,000). They also have a bunch of other tourneys every day in which you compete for leaderboard points and tokens to get into the paid events.
The competition is very soft. A good player should be able to win back his monthly fee and some extra. If for some reason you can't deposit into one of the real money sites, this one isn't a bad alternative. I think it's better than the WPT and Global Poker paid sites.
