No, of course not. The .com client is more full featured than the .net client. It saves hand histories, allows you to set an avatar, and other things. If your account is US it won't allow you play for real money, but you get all the other benefits compared to the stripped down and crippled .net client.

It will not even allow us player to play free roll.

Of course not. A freeroll is still considered a real money game when there is a payout of any value.

It does however allow US players to play in Play Money/Home Games. And CC sponsors an ongoing League as well as special events using Home Games that have prizes awarded directly by CC outside of the client, therefore there is interest in US players being able to use the .com version.
