pokerstars froze my account, they sent me an email asking me for information about my relationship with another account. Said account is the account of my wife's partner, with which if one has a balance and the other does not send us money for tournaments or bets Both accounts are verified I offered them any documentation they need to prove that they are different accounts, we never play the same tournaments for obvious reasons, but no one answers an email or anything While we uploaded money to both accounts there were never any problems but when we started downloading money our accounts were rarely frozen We have had accounts for many years, mine for more than 20 years, my wife, since we have been together for 10 years. If they would at least answer me, I wouldn't give so much anger beyond the dollars that they are withholding from me We are the only couple who like poker at 2?? Has anyone else experienced something similar??? this situation has been going on for a week

Perhaps customer support is just very slow these days.

Perhaps there are other activities on both accounts apart from transferring funds that made pokerstars suspect multi-accounting which is not allowed in online poker sites. Based on what I've heard, pokerstars don't have tolerance (tho there could be cases that was resolved that am not aware) but try & try in case it could be resolved for you. Unfortunately, if they do not allow you to play there anymore not much can be done but look for other sites. Friendly advise, be careful to play accounts beyond reproach.

There have been similar stories in the forum before, and its certainly not unusual, that it takes more than a week for them to complete their investigation. So if you have already answered them and send, what they asked for, then just wait, until you get an answer. Depending on what actually happened, and the answers you gave, your account will either be unfrozen or permanently closed. Best of luck.

This sounds so wrong

Either way luckily/sadly our nation is ineligble for p2p transfers there for whatever reason so something like this can never happen ...

Here we are still waiting for a solution
Not even an email explaining anything at all
The truth is that you don't want to continue on poker sites like this

I think for this to happen you have to have a lot of downtime.

Said account is the account of my wife's partner,

We have had accounts for many years, mine for more than 20 years, my wife, since we have been together for 10 years.
Does the other account belong to your wife or your wife`s partner? And in the latter case what exactly do you mean by "my wife`s partner"? If the account belong to your wife, then there can naturally be a suspicion about multiaccounting. Especially if you regularly transfer money between the two accounts. But there are other married cupples, who both play on PokerStars, and who successfully went through this kind of investigation.
Here we are still waiting for a solution
Yes it will likely take month rather than days.
Not even an email explaining anything at all
What more is there to explain? They suspect, you are guilty of multiaccounting, and their security department is looking into the case.
The truth is that you don't want to continue on poker sites like this
I understand, that its inconvenient. But you kind of brought it on to yourself by playing on the same site AND then also transferring funds between accounts. The vast majority of us dont do that, so we dont have this issue. And to be honest we want there to be security in place, so that multiaccounters and other cheaters are caught. And of course this mean, that sometimes innocent people will get investigated. This is no different from other areas of life.

You need to wait for a response from support and verify both accounts

some actions should be avoided such as financial transfers between accounts, using the same internet network for multiple accounts, playing tournaments with friends using the same internet network.

Hi :)
A few years ago, my account was also frozen. I live in an apartment building and they also asked me questions about players that I never knew. The account was frozen for about three weeks and after that they asked me to resend documents for verification (even though my account was fully verified) and only then did they unfreeze my account.

While it is crazy to have to go through this if nothing wrong was done, I believe they will reinstate your account. I am sorry you need to wait but it is what it is.
