Am I dreaming? (Merge Network)

So I just started playing on merge a couple days now and to my amazement there are not really any horrific suckouts (not talking just me, the whole table). I mean your normal suckouts happen obviously but there isn't really many runner runner straights and flushes like I'm so used to on pokerstars every 4-5 hands.

Am I dreaming, or is this just because I am a new player there?

Can you guys please give me your take on the merge network and how things have been in the suckout department from when you first started playing there until now...Much appreciate the feedback.

I didn't notice that kind of stuff til I started playing high variance games wayyyy outside my bankroll.
