Plan on making only my second trip to AC upcoming soon. My Dad and I are going down for his 50th bday, Dad is a novice player and i consider myself slightly above novice. Last time I went down and played at the tropicanna 1/2 nl holdem and held my own for about 4 hours until i got busted out from someone on a flush draw that hit on the river against my flopped top 2pair A and Q yes im still bitter about it.
Anyway all that aside this will be dads first trip and since i went by myself the last time i simply just found a table and played but with dad going along this time I wanted to make sure that we would be able to sit at the same table are there any places that you just sit down at an open seat and throw some cash at the dealer for chips? when i went last i had to wait to be seated and got my chips before sitting down at the table.
Is it possible to have a bottle of liquor delivered to the table for his b-day im sure this is not an option but thought i would throw it out there.
Last but not least any thoughts on where to stay not really interested in staying at a casino hotel because of cost.
