888poker less and less attractive to play

Just had a survey emailed from 888. I filled it in and they seemed to ask everything that GG offers.

Might be getting taken over by GG was my first thoughts. I do so hope not, as I prefer 888 way more than GG

I think this is not just the case at 888, I think most sites have reduced the number of freeroll tournaments.

888 is my favorite room and in general I can complain about some things, but that is the new business strategy and freerolls are reduced at most sites.
The point is to increase participation at tournaments with buyin and to reduce pool of players that are playing only freerolls because that does not earn money to the poker room.

Its also worth noting, that GG Poker is currently the fastest growing poker network. And not only do they not offer freerolls, they also dont offer SnGs or any MTTs with a buyin below 2,2$. So apparently its perfectly possible for a poker site to have success, even it has raised the bar somewhat

Maybe that depends on your gadget? I just had to download the new software (for PC), and its running completely fine for me. The lobby has been in dire need of an update for years, since it looked (and probably was) like something from 15 years ago. Like all new software it takes a while to get used to, but for me the only thing, that somewhat annoys me, is, that I cant figure out how to hide satallites from the tournament lobby. This makes it more difficult for me to find the normal tournaments, which I want to play

U wouldnt know. I havent played on 888 for several years. But I do remember that when I did play there they had good freerolls. And good accesabillity.

It's only for the short term, but 888 added a bunch of freerolls and some other goodies to launch the App.

I had to update to a new version this morning and saw all the new stuff.

There are daily $200, $500 and $1000 freerolls, as well as an extra $200 BLAST freeroll (40x $5 tickets). There's also a $10k freeroll on Sunday and a $30k freeroll on the 22nd.

There was also something about 2x daily spins and a random gift drop on a random table every 5 minutes.

I also got a pop up to claim 10x $1 BLAST tickets, which I got with no problem.

Level 180 , so you have a tone of freerolls from 888poker to play there . Anyway , as long as you can make asome money there , from freerolls or anything else , it's all good , they have their promotions , now they make a new start , they give bonuses and gifts , it's good to play (imo) in more than one poker rooms , so ..... the decision is yours .
