Can anyone tell me about the new gift drop promo 888 is doing? Specifically, if there is a gift drop at your table how do you know? I got a freeroll ticket from (I assume) playing snap poker but I didn't notice anything popping up on-screen to notify me. Do you just have to check your freeroll tickets section? It would be nice if it notified you.

Ok, at least it's not just me then. I'm using windows 10 and the software doesn't work wonderfully on it so I thought it might be just me. Thanks guys.

And it only took over an hour of constant play to get it. :D

Now, I actually got 2 of these, same prize, but only got the image from the screenshot one time. I did play over 2 hours in total (probably close to 3 hours) and only afterwards checked my tickets.

I just finished playing at 888 for about 2.5 hours, didn't take any breaks and... No Gift Drop! According to the Promo is one gift drop at a table (cash, MTT, SnG, SNAP) every 10 seconds. And I got none in 2.5 hours.

I don't get it. How can there be so many people playing the Gift Drop freerolls if they are so hard to get?

Ok, so something does pop up (sometimes :) ). I was trying to extimate how often you would expect to win something by seeing if I could tell how many palyers were playing at a given time. pokerstars has this on their software but I couldn;t see if anywhere on 888. At the moment there are about 75,000 players on pokerstars, I assume 888 is similar but probably smaller so that would be about a 3% chance every hour if you assume everyone is on a 6 seat table. (75,000/6) = 12,500 tables at any given time. Gift drops per hour = 6 * 60 = 360. 360/12,500 = 0.0288.

These are actually not too hard to hit if you play multiple games at once.

I started chasing gift drops a bit over a week ago with a strategy in mind. It appears you can get gift drops no matter how low the buy in (except freerolls, you can't get gift drops in those). When I get home from work I register in every $0.01 and $0.02 game I can find, pretty much step 1 and sub satellite games.

I don't try very hard in these games, my goal is just to stay in them as long as possible to maximize my chances at a GD and there are times I have 5 games going at once.
Of course I will play monsters hard to get chips and will re-buy if the blinds are relatively low and I still get a lot of $0.10 step 2 tickets as players play insane in those.

So far I seem to get about 3 GD's a day, sometimes 4 and 1 day I hit 6.

I've hit a lot of gift drop freeroll tickets and $1 BLAST tickets, but also 4x $5 BLAST tickets and 3x $5 cash.

So far tonight I've hit 2 GD's, a $1 BLAST and $5 cash. Weirdly they were in the same game, the BLAST came in the first few minutes and the cash came about 75 minutes later.

A few days ago I started saving up my tickets to use up all at once on the weekend since they are good for 7 days.
