The 888 Poker platform is crap!

Hi there,

is anyone of you regularily playing on the 888 poker platform?

I tried to get into the software, especially since they have that sweet 30$ welcome bonus where you don't have to add any of your own mony.

But, boy is their software annoying beyond compare:

• more than two windows make the software crash; finding that out cost me some 20$
• the grafics are not only idiotic, but also hinder functionality; eg. show down hands are covering chip stacks
• the functionality is limited & complicated; tg. the lobby needs two clicks and I still don't know where to make player notes
• from time to time there's flashy grafic overlays with freeroll ads popping up which distract me from the game; I haven't found the place yet where to shut that down
• two links in the main menu are overlapping; this shows the quality of the programmers they hired to do the job
• all their freerolls are turbo, which is 99% gambling; I don't like that
• etc pp.

The pokerstars platform is already meeh, but compared to 888 it is the epiphany of professionalism. No wonder 888 is attracting not even 10% of the pokerstars audience.

What is your preferred poker platform and why? And is there something better than Pokerstars - or even worse than 888?

I have played mostly on 888 for the last year or two. It used to be great when their freerolls were a bit slower and it was easier to cash. Now they may as well be all-in Blast games, because that's how they play. The 888 android App isn't too bad and it is actually pretty convenient. That's what I have used to play on mobile and I don't play on PC.

Having said all of that, their lack of professionalism with respect to their promotions (their most recent one still has not been fixed and many players still can't participate while the promo continues) and the decreasing quality of their games are leading me to spend more time elsewhere.

All new platforms require some getting used to, and personally I think the one of 888 is absolutely fine. My only complaint is, that for me the client has a high propensity to crash and require a restart. But I agree, that the platform of PokerStars is better. This is hardly surpricing, since they have almost 8-10 times as many customers and therefore 8-10 times as much money to spend on software development.

The PokerStars poker room is the best option for me to play poker due to the diverse level of players and the large selection of tournaments for all tastes.

I've been having exactly the same problems for the last month.If I play mtt more than one table constantly freezes or disconnect.The last time at the final table the connection was cut off, it cost me 2 places (320 USD) in the tournament.Support does not react in any way, just sends standard responses to the mail.I wonder if there are representatives of 888 here ?Maybe they 'll comment on it somehow
