888 new format and tournaments

Obviously there is a lot of rebranding or "old wine on new bottles" about this, where for instance the "big fish" has now apparently become the "big shot". But that being said 888 Poker have really shaken up their whole MTT schedule. It could lead to some overlays, until they get the price pools adjusted, so from a cynical point of view its a good reason to play some MTTs on 888 Poker in the near future.

There are also bad news however. Before they had a number of 2,2$ and 5,5$ R+A tournaments, where only the original buyin was raked but not the rebuys and addons. Most R+A tournaments are now 3,3$, and in all of them rebuys and addons are raked. Not that this is particularly unreasonable, but the old ones were a bargain, and that is now gone

I am not sure how the change has reflected in the bigger picture of these tournaments but earlier there used to be pennybuys to where 55 players won a seat to $0.50 satellite, where 20 or 30 players won a ticket to the $5.50 BigFish. Now I think these has been replaced with a Dash 5.5 pennybuy where 20 wins a seat to .50 satellite where you compete for max 10 seats to the Dash 5.5. It might be that fewer seats attract fewer players also and it could be that it is not more hard to win a seat in the Dash 5.5.

But I feel where tens of players are competing for juts few seats with 3 min between blind raises it is quite a bit of game of fortune. I think those freebies with 1 min buyins are just raffles.

Looks like very interesting. The added many rebuy-and addons tournaments, added huge guaranties. I will play there one more times soon.

Fewer seats with increased blinds definitely does not seem good way for me but have not played as much there recently so have not checked all the offerings.
