Hi,
until now I play only at pokerstars. But I think I will sign in at one other room. Is anyone playing at GG and 888? What are the favours of both sides? Where are more easy players at the mikro-stakes?

Hi,

I play on both rooms. It very much depends on which game formats you are looking for.

Some comments from my side:

• Classic SnGs are not available on GG. On 888 they are but the rake is higher than on PS.
• 888 has not the best MTT schedule but I made a few good results there.
• GG has a great new member program with free tickets and also the honeymoon promotion. You can opt-in during the first week and get 30 tasks, one each day for the next month. If you complete all, you can win up to $300, I think. But it's a little unrealistic but I think the realistic goal is still around 150$. 888 has no real new member program (the bonus is ridiculous.).
• On GG, you have to pay the German gambling taxes of 3% yourself. It is deducted from every payout.
• you get a daily freebie at GG and can play some games risk-free.
• if you decide to sign-up at GG, make sure to do it with the cardschat link, so you can also play the CC freerolls (for all members). Although the timing is pretty inconvenient for Germany. 888 offers better timed freerolls for German players.

I've been told GG is soft but I never made it
deep into a tournament, so far. But I also
played only few games there. 🙃

Some say 888 is also soft in the micros. Indeed my ROI is better there than on PokerStars.

If you have the time and commitment, you could easily sign up at GG, use the new members bonus, play the honeymoon and hopefully raise your BR. (I made €100 out of my €25 deposit just by the promotions.)
Play a few games and see how you like it.

If you don't, take a part or all of that BR to 888. 😉

Thank you for the good explanation. I am no good cash Player but not bad in SnGs and MTTS therefore perhaps 888 is better for me! One Question: is there any Limit Holdem game at one of this sides? I started poker with that years ago and sometimes I like to play again...

After the Russian players were removed from 888, partypoket and pokerstars, they all rushed to play on GG poker and ACR and there are thousands of them and they are reluctant to compete with them, there are many strong players.

In my opinion, 888 is currently the best option. GG is also not bad, but personally I prefer playing on 888. PokerStars is not what it used to be. Unfortunately, this site has lost its leadership in recent years.

888 has some event qualifiers Like for the wsop but besides that their tourneys are mediocre.
I would recommend GG.
Loads of different formats and the rake is reasonable unlike the one from 888

I play 888 Poker and pokerstars well I would really like to play ggpoker so if you have the opportunity to play ggpoker better start playing there above you were told the advantages of all rooms so I think the choice is obvious ggpoker is the best but I'm a pokerstars player and 888 poker

I prefer GGpoker client and rakeback, but if you're looking for soft players, I think 888 is a better choice.

Yes, and the decision is also quite subjective. So the more people you ask, the more confused you become. 😅

Russians were not removed from 888 and PokerStars, where did this information come from?

I like both rooms. But for micro stakes player I prefer 888poker. The rake is higher than on others poker rooms, but they have so many good promos for micro stakes players that compensate.

888 is my go to Poker place. I do have an account with poker stars and party poker. I did have an account with GG but I cancelled it, due to not being allowed to play the CC freeroll plus I just never seem to find the games or buy-ins low enough for my preference.

I started to play more at the GG platform. Mainly because of the player pool , that includes a lot of Asian players from China, Japan and Thailand. And a lot of them are beginners and play their hands a bit to soft and sometimes an easy target for better players. But you need to love tournaments. Plenty of action.

The rest of the time I share between Stars , 888 and Betsson/Guts. And sometimes unibet , but they have lost it somehow.
