888 flag instead of national one

Hi there.

I am new here. Apologies if I start a thread that was previously discussed. I saw a couple of threads but never saw an answer.

On 888 there are players whose nationality is hidden. First I admitted this year ago.I thought they are 888 sponsored or maybe members of od some elite group, etc. Never was really interested until yesterday.

I played MTT and got to the final table. When 6 of us left the chip leader was 888-flag-guy..
That was something unbelievable.

The guy was calling all-ins with garbage against 2nd place. Won
Then he called next 2nd place wшер another garbage cards. And so on.
He did that maybe 5-6 times.
I have no problem to understand that 27o always has a chance to win. But not 5-6 time in a raw.
When only 3 of us left he was playing the same style.
Luckily, me and another guy from GB were very careful and kicked him out.

After the game I checked PokerProLabs fro tournament result to see who is that TIEFL (nick or 888-flag-guy) - stats are hidden.

So, the questions is - who the hell are guys with 888 flags?
Are they bots?
Can anyone give clear answer?

I am playing poker mainly for fun last 11 years. I was always a skeptic when people are saying that rooms are cheating. But maybe my skepticism is wrong

If needed I can check game history from my tracker to confirm that I just posted

I have also repeatedly noticed such players at the table. I also think it is unfair to other players when the location information is hidden. I do not think these are bots, but I also unfortunately do not know the answer to that question.

You can relax mate , some countries lost the flag after the latest upgrade. So norway are one of the countries that will only show up with 888 flag! Why ? Bad software maybe.

Just notice you will never see a Norwegian flag .

One more thing, Norway is one of the countries with gambling restrictions, I think we are in the grey zone somehow , since our government has not yet decided on a license for casino companies. Maybe 888 does not want to recognize us.

Never saw your flags

What you described could be the case but I don't think grayness is the reason. I am from Ukraine and our gambling legislation is also not clear. But our flags are shown

Everybody knows what the flag of Norway looks like=)but what about the Mongolian one?
Well, if anybody's still confused, "888" flag was assigned by default to those accounts that, at the time of their creation, didnt have the flag of the corresponding country in 888' database. This has been discussed many times already=)
