Looks like Confedrate is still angling for some $

Dunno, looked a bit more like sour grapes and whining - but then - I might whine too about missing out on $25,000.

It may well be that as soon as the hand was assigned to that table, their software froze all action, including confedrate's ability to post a bet. If he was waiting, and hoping to place the bet -if- it hit their table, his scared money cost him $25,000.

It's falling off now. Maybe they thought being 'in line' would get them a piece of the action ... :D

If I read it right, Stars did the right thing. Neon gets the hi end hand, $50,000 cash, lo hand got $50,000 cash and both players get a complete tourney package. The remaining three split $100k, $33,333 each and confedrate ... says he thinks he should boycott Stars.

I think it is because there were loads of people who would watch the lobby for the table to be announced each time and as soon as it flashed they clicked on it and then tried to race for a potential empty seat or join the wait list hoping someone would leave before the cards were dealt.

There was at least one person I saw who was successful at doing that yesterday - so I am sure there were plenty of others.

It's an hour after the hand, Confedrate is still whining and to add salt to the wound, some players are sending pennies to his account. How brutal.

LOL - he just said 37 cents so far. OMG.

Edit: Now up to 52, and growing.....lol. and he gets an e-mail every time another penny transfers in....

I can't believe Confedrate clicked wait for big blind instead of auto post blinds when the countdown was so close to 25 billion:confused: I was wondering why the cards were on the table for everyone but confedrate for the 20 minutes it took to finally deal the 25 billionth hand. Then neonfrost times out on his turn after asking a few minutes before the flop what is the eta on the flop. Pokerstars didn't give him disconnection time like they did for tapupi and chris so maybe neon was away from the computer for some stupid reason and has now spoken up to get 50k in cash and 50k in tourney prizes. I guess pokerstars won't give him a penalty for saying he had a queen high flush when the turn dropped. Instead they reward him. I wonder if tupapi would be so willing to say that's fair and let neon win the high pot if tupapi didn't have the low pot won lol. Either way he is giving 50k to neon because the winner of the hand gets 100k plus 50k tourney action.

Wouldn't have mattered. If he posts the blind when he sits at the table, different timing, 25th billion is on a different table. This was posted on the mathmatically named poker forum:

pokerstars Game #24999962428: Omaha Hi/Lo Limit ($1/$2) - 2009/02/16 1:34:12 PT [2009/02/16 4:34:12 ET]
Table 'Susilva' 6-max Seat #2 is the button
Seat 1: NeonFrost ($7 in chips)
Seat 2: tupapi777 ($112.25 in chips)
Seat 3: FrtSpkndMn ($22.25 in chips)
Seat 4: n47j25s ($43.50 in chips)
Seat 5: chris12080 ($43 in chips)
FrtSpkndMn: posts small blind $0.50
n47j25s: posts big blind $1
Confedrate: sits out

If he doesn't sit out here, post his blind, then like I say, milestone is on a different table.

In that case everyone at the table should send him a little bonus. :)

Nah the winner offered him a drink 'if he ever sees him' lol. It was so good. He really though he was part of the hand....

Ah turns out I'm wrong. Stars assign the hand number, THEN players are asked to post blind. All he had to do was unclick the wait for BB box... Why on earth you'd have it check less than 100k from the 25thBillion astonishes me.

Re-edit :) I am wrong again :) Apparently, you can't just post the blind on the milestone, you needed to have been in before. He posts previous blind, timing shifts, 25th at differnt table

This pretty well explains it all then. Confedrate was sitting out exactly one hand (on that table) prior to the 25bil hand. Once the milestone hand started, by the time he would have seen it was the 25,0+ hand, it was too late to post the BB. The software would have automatically passed him by as a sitter.

I have no sympathy for him. He was playing scared money and didn't want to risk his funds on a Blind so he was sitting out. That's what happens when you try to beat a system. He got what a sitter SHOULD get - nothing. (except the pennies sent by other players :D )

eh he was waiting for the bb to come around to him before posting which is completely standard.

okay so it's not completely standard when the 25 billionth hand is imminent though, lolz.

Their server was so jammed I couldn't even open the table. I tried before it was dealt and a few more times after but got no responce at all.

Oh well, had a gut feeling it was going to be at least 100/200 limits anyway considering how much PS was giving away so most of us didn't stand a chance. Pretty safe bet that the Lion's share of players were at lower stakes. On the bright side, my bankroll is much happier!

^^^ Not a "rigged" game post ! If they were going to "rig" it they wouldn't have held the milestone hand in Omaha Hi/Lo where there are 2 winning pots which cost PS an extra $50,000 for a second set of tourney packages.

Has it hit yet? I have heard about this, what does someone get if they win that hand? Should I be on Poker Stars now hoping I get the hand?

You should be on CardsChat trying to get 50 QUALITY posts so you can get the freeroll password. This obviously won't count.

I don't get your post? The hand was dealt at $1/$2 blinds.

Anyhow.....congrats to all who won anything, and good job by pokerstars in remaining the site with the most awesome promotions.

I still can't believe that they actually paid the high hand when they could have claimed, that being a server or connection issue, it wasn't their fault and they didn't have to pay. Was good sportsmanship on their part.

As for confederate, it was his own fault, and he has no reason to whine at anyone but himself.

Just my opinion

I think what AB was trying to say was that the BIG hand would be at nothing less than a 1/2 table, which it was. The traffic at the mini/micro stakes was intense.

He was also making a comment about not being able to 'observe' the BIG HAND table. Many of us couldn't get in. There were 125,000+ players online for it, and I'll bet a huge percentage were trying to 'observe' the hand. Stars must only be able to handle 'x' number of 'observers' per table, and there were even 1,500 'waiting to join' that table once it was announced.

I agree completely about Confedrate being the only one to blame. He was just 'sitting' on the table the hand before it hit. Completely his own fault.

Yes, Stars is best in my book. But that's just me.
