I mean, it sucks for them to lose part of their content, but can you really blame Youtube?

Pokerstars and others are no longer pokersites, but online casinos, so if you're promoting pokerstars, 888, etc you are promoting online gambling that favors the house.
My thoughts exactly, I'm glad they are cutting down tbh.

YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and others are becoming more and more restrictive with differing viewpoints. The sad (not-sad) thing is that they are allowed to do this because they are private enterprises. User-generated content can be as widely or narrowly restricted as the social media admins see fit. Unless there are instances where speech is proscribed by law (such as defamation or copyright), the platform is free to set whatever guidelines for user-generated content that it fit. That is...for right now. I agree with Justice Kennedy's opinion in Packingham v. North Carolina when he accurately observed that the greatest battleground for free expression both nationally and globally occurs online with social media. He further compared online social media to a public forum such as a public street or park.
It will be interesting to see how the law develops over the next few years as more of these cases are brought to the Supreme Court.

If it is very true hundreds of youtubers complain about that! I think you think it can be addictive, it encourages you to be a Ludopath, but I think there is a lot of YouTube abuse, everyone does it for entertainment and for the love of the game, teaching everyone to play and understand poker better.

Bad news, because you learn a lot of videos of professional players, I hope some videos remain online.

I can't help but notice that "100+" videos sounds pompous by design. In reality it is a negligible amount considering the number of poker videos on youtube. So calling that a crackdown is quite a stretch. Also, let's admit that youtube has been pretty relaxed about enforcing it's user agreement in general, most of the time when removal or demonetization occurs is due to a third party complaint. Besides, posting a link to an online casino is pure advertising, not even masked. Youtube wants the advertisers to pay them for the service, that's their whole business model. And if Youtube chooses not to have commercials about a certain type of business, it surely doesn't want the content creators to embed it into their videos.

Youtube is cracking down on all kinds of stuff. You search for "global warming hoax", or any other non-liberal stuff, the results are very skewed. And now they link a Wikipedia article if you don't buy in to the fake hysteria.
I am not sure of a good solution. But they should just stick to organic results and not skewing them with algorithms.
Taking down strategy videos is crazy. Poker and gambling is legal a bunch of places, just because it doesn't fit "their" values doesn't make it wrong.
