Shortie just double thru the CL, so the stacks have tightened up. CL is now only a bit better than 2x the shortie, with 3 others between.

2nd Shortie (Vayo) just doubled up and is now the CL!

Ruzicka left with less than 1 BB and will be all in next hand.....

commercial break.....

And he's gone. He ran into 2 sets of flopped 8's and tried to bluff his way thru in less than an hour.

Down to 4.

Ruane is short, and I see a touch of panic in his demeanor.

ESPN2 IS PIXILATING AND i'M MISSING COMMENTARY!

Now they are seemingly intent to stretch what is essentially a 9 seat SnG to be a 3 day event.

Not to mention they are all playing way to tight.

I know that they are playing way faster than last year Main Event players so I don't mind ESPN breaking it into a 3 day event. 9 to 6 = Day 1, 6 to 3 = Day 2, and 3 to 1 = Day 3. Seems like a reasonable to break out since it is lived streamed.

Keep in mind that they will edit the live stream down to a 3.5 hours show.

I'm pleasantly surprised with the final table since I didn't plan on watching it when Colman and Marchese busted out.

The final 3 will NOT be edited tomorrow night. There is a 30 minute delay, but that's the only form of editing they will do, except for adding commercial breaks.

There have been exactly ZERO magic suckouts at this table!.

Ruane out 4th.

To be continued manana...

I found luck is very important in a single game.

Nguyen has the chips stack, has better hands, in better situation.
finished today with 50% chips on the table.

did not think Josephy have that big edge, and I start finding he is starting to make mistakes now from my view today.

3 days game long time play may be favors the young players in both mental and physical.

Qui Nguyen showtime. The ugliest cap in the world

Inexperienced and without much skill but very brave

I think Nguyen will win, he is very aggressive and he won a lot of chips just because of his aggressive plays, he has a big chip lead and he isn't afraid to gamble

I know Phil Helmuth thinks that his aggressive (reckless at times) play will be his demise. It could, but I tend to agree with you. He is doing a great job of playing his big stack and taking advantage of position. I think he wins as well.

How about Qui Nguyen, he does not give up on pots easily and you could tell he is a problem for the final table. He is so unpredictable and fearless is scary. I could tell he was a beast when he made Obst fold the flush. He almost busted to M Ruane A4 before final table and was ready to go home. The poker gods had other plans for Qui, and now has about 190 million chips with a 2 to 1 chip lead with 3 remaining.. so who will win? Vayo, Josephy or Nguyen... I'm not sure who will win but This has been a 1 of my favorite main event final tables to watch.

Always great for the game when an unknown amateur comes from out of nowhere and steamrolls the final table, it gives the rest of us plebes something to dream about:D

They will edit the live stream down into a "normal" poker show. It usually comes out a couple of weeks after a winner is crowned.

I think so, but I missed that first hand too.

Doesn't matter tho cuz he just lost a set over set hand for most of his chips

This is now getting old, regardless of how much Antonio likes it.

Vayo very fearful. I thought it was strategy and on the HU he would play more aggressively, but not. Almost no reraise, just call and fold.

Isn't it customary for the previous Main Event winner so make the intro, and say "shuffle up and deal"? Why didn't Joe McKeehen do this, and is he even at the event???? I haven't seen him.

I haven't heard why he didn't do it or attend, but you could sense that was a serious 'dig' toward him by Todd Brunson! ;)

Congrants Nguyen ...Showing great courage, Nguyen abused aggression to overcome a lethargic Gordon Vayo heads up. Patiently, he was undermining gradually the opponent's stack never showed resistance. And the opportunities where Vayo managed to double up, the champion did not flinch and continued to put pressure
