Shahram 'Shawn' Sheikhan, known as 'The Shiek' in the poker world, was charged with supplying marijuana to unlicensed and illegal dispensaries in California as well as selling directly to individuals.

Sheikhan, age 52, along with his partner Sabriana Williams, 26, pled guilty in June 2022 to a variety of charges concerning the production and distribution of marijuana through his company Cannaland.

Some of you may remember Sheikhan from a confrontation with Mike 'The Mouth' Matusow at the 2005 wsop.

Dunno what's so hard to get for politicians....
Tax it, legalize it, benefit from not overcrowded prisons , take a deadly blow to the blackmarket.

It would save millions of useless spent taxpayer money.
Actually... any drug should be legal under state control.
Prohibition benefits only organized crime they mix it with sometimes even lethal substances to enhance profit which leads to countless deaths.

Maybe it would leave thousands of policemen in the drugs division unemployed and that's why they won't change anything ^^ well learn something else your job is useless

U cant just sell as u want and as he did to unlicensed dispensaries and private persons, for multiple reasons (avoiding taxes is one). There are still laws within a regulated market...

His crime is not selling weed per se. He's been charged because like any market you need a license to run a business.
