Super aggro players? :D Have you watched any of the wsop final tables this year? Players are so intent on laddering-up that the only way they could be any tighter is to not deal the cards.

He has been running bad at tournaments lately so it would make sense for him to skip this year.

"Running bad" aka playing bad. Running bad is just a myth that people use to excuse their bad play lol

why wld he Play vs huge field where he doesnt win anymore.. he s happy to Play cash games n milk those businessmen for massive Profit. or vs small field in a massive buyin game where he can reach ft n can win .. he cant Play vs hot super aggro Players nowadays anymore in big fields

Lolwhat?

Ya, a guy who plays a ton of HU poker online can't stand to play aggressive players in FR NLH tourneys?

Why on earth would someone who probably never plays lower than 300/600 live be interested in grinding a 1500 with a bunch of shove monkey MTT players who wear hoodies and sunglasses?

Get real....guys a beast and only can motivate himself to even play most of the smaller events with HUGE bracelet bets. He doesn't have any this yr bc of being stuck in Macau, so he won't waste time.

You're hilariously off base.

Lot of good players who skip the WSOP. I am sure he makes more money playing high stakes games. Playing the series puts a camera in his face all month. Perhaps he is tired of the spotlight with all the other stories going on about him.

More impressive than his poker skills was the fact that he figured out how to beat the casino at baccarat. It's always awesome when someone figures out how to take down the house for millions.

He discovered a defect in one of the decks print, it called edge sorting. Only certain casinos used the deck.

"The cards are supposed to cut off the pattern so that each edge of the card is identical to its opposite. However, these cards, manufactured by Gemaco, featured a defect that meant if you turned some cards around, and left the others the way they were originally, never shuffling them so that the edges were all mixed up, you could identify flipped cards from non-flipped. This is possible because in casinos, you're generally dealing with pre-shuffled decks, and if a shuffling machine is used, the vertical orientation of the cards will never change. And so, Ivey and his partner asked that the "good" cards for baccarat be flipped."

He would initially lose a couple hundred thousand then request the certain decks. Calling it superstition. Then because he had given so much to the casino and was going to play a million more he would ask for certain small changes and they would oblige to get his business. He would then play a strategy knowing the cards of when to pick which hand etc. Walked away with a couple mil from multiple casinos before they figured it out.

I suspect he plays as a businessman, or as you kids say (cough, wheeze) to make bank. Keep in mind that his motivation for playing in the WSOP was largely to win lucrative bracelet bets. That action has dried up.

Cheers!

I don't want to see this guy on WSOP, I want to see another commercial with him! This one was the funniest poker face ad i've ever seen in my life.
