Who would want to sit at the table with that clown?????

Considering he's one of the best in the world.... I wouldn't want to sit at his table... ever (unless it meant I'd made it to some final table in a live tourney or something)

If chips ever hit me after someone throwing them across the table like he did, I'd grab the ones that hit me & wing them back as hard as I could.

Seriously? OMG that is soooo bada55! Wow! Nice!

His nickname is Jungleman, of course he's going to act like an ape and throw chips around. One day he's truly going to snap at the poker table. Hopefully they will catch him snapping on film at a main event.

I don't know for sure, but there's a pretty good chance this was on camera - they film a lot of parts of the Aussie Millions for broadcast, and this was in one of the high-buyin events that they're likely to cover

I could give a crap about Gates and his mental situation. My only question is if there is any video of this. I'd love to see this complete mental breakdown at the table. I get enraged by bad beats occasionally but I never act out in a violent manner. If you can't take a deep breath, hell fall to the floor like you've been shot, you need to quit playing. Throwing chips, ripping cards, screaming like a maniac...not acceptable!

i have a couple smashed keyboards and a flying mouse, leftovers from some badbeats.

saving them to make sculpture of later?

please don't ever make me like that in poker ...I would have to quit...anything...ANYTHING ..that provokes you to violence more than once....STOP DOING! STOP DATING! JUST STOP!

Wow, what a poor sport, I get the frustration, but a public tantrum is a bit much.

I think that is why most of us play on line....we need the spouses to home cam us sometime.

um BTW too cute of an avatar there poof!

If I were sitting at a table with this moron (or one like him) I would do anything and everything to push him into tilt. Sounds like it would not take much. I have done it before, and it's really something to watch. It only took a few well chosen words to tilt him and take all the chips he had.

It really is true what they say - "there is nothing easier than taking money from someone who is mad at you"; they often cannot recover, and will make "I'm going to kick his azz" decisions instead of smart ones.

Agreed.

He definitely deserved to have his ass kicked for that. And if he had thrown chips at me I would be a little pissed if the floor didn't kick him out of the casino for that crap.

Is it not the job of the dealer to give the chips to the other?

This attitude has no place in poker. Ban the player for good!

It's quite unfortunate anytime someone allows their emotions to overrun their sensibilities, particularly when they resort to insulting or assaulting another player.

I would hope that Mr. Cates incurred some sort of penalty. Without consequences, bad behavior has no incentive to be checked.

We all lose our cool at some point, but not all of us allow that to become an excuse to abuse other people.

He should play heads up vs Facesitting, then he would think twice before he threw a tantrum.

No because everyone knows he's just a socially awkward freak so they don't take it too seriously lol
