I understand the comparison but it isn't really the same. By "representing PS" i mean that he is getting free entries to all live and online tournaments hosted by PS and therefore has a huge edge over majority of the players out there.
In that sense, it is strange as to why would a couple of good players just leave their sponsors in a short period of time...
For example, what if pros think that they don't have an edge over others anymore? or what if they think the game isn't beatable overall due to the rake, or any other factor? What if these particular two pros are losing money online, even with pokerstars sponsorship?
From that perspective, I feel dissuaded to play online cause of the potential of losing, instead of profiting even if my skills are better then the majority at PS..
I would not think in one dimension. There are many factors that could come together from both pokerstars and Jaime. Big brands are drawn to big brands. Signing a contract with UFC. On the other hand, sponsorship probably does not cover costs. Tell the name Jaime Staples somewhere outside the poker community. And nobody will tell you exactly who it is. I just lead to the fact that it is not so important for pokerstars, and they are not the only ones on this field. But in general, 40% of rakeback think much better than certain buns from pokerstars. And if I were you, I would not regard it as a bell - you cannot win at this place. You can simply whatever one may say this is the most powerful and at the same time the most dispersive room. Therefore, people tend to look for places where they are more favorable conditions.
