Gavin Smith had a fun-loving personality and was always pleasant with the poker media. On Monday night, the Canadian poker pro passed away unexpectedly in his sleep. He was 50-years-old. The cause of death is currently unknown.
Rest in peace, Gavin.

Yes this was a sad story he left behind kids to which is always sad. It look like Gvain always had fun while playing poker atleast when he played on TV when he played on WPT and some of the poker shows on TV seem like a good guy to me. So hope you RIP Gavin .

I've always enjoyed watching Gavin play. R.I.P.

However, live hard, play hard, die young.

Death from "natural" causes at age 50? Nothing natural about that.

It is a pity that this happened. Let the earth rest in peace. We all go to the next world, which I do not wish to all my relatives and members of the forum. I love everyone very much and I am very sorry to lose my acquaintance or friend.
I wish everyone happiness and good luck to everyone on this forum, I love and respect everyone.
Live happily ever after.

RIP. He was fun to watch on poker shows. I also was a big fan of his and Joe Sebok's Poker Road radio show they had together couple years back.

R.I.P. to a great personality & great player.

I wish I could've played at the same table as him at some point in my life. Good personalities are hard to come by & he def had one. Too bad that the lifestyle he lived cut his life short.
