Likeable Chris Brewer won the WSOP $250,000 High Roller and pocketed $5,293,556 to be exact.

Artur Martisrosian came second and Martin Kabrel third. Chance Kornuth who came to the final table as chip leader came fifth.

Very happy for Brewer. He enjoyed success at the last Triton series but also endured some setbacks and you could see he was visibly upset (not all players automatons apparently) as he genuinely felt he had 'run bad' at the Triton events in general. But here he is weeks later taking down one of the biggest events there are, so good for him!

Hopefully, PokerGo will release an edit to the final table and if so, I'll add it to the thread.

Yesterday I was watching a big part of this final table.
I have no words to describe how much Kabhrel is annoying. Or he just might be a genius, and I am the stupid one, I don't know.
I imagine if someone had to play for 3 days at his table... Not a single person clapped when he was eliminated. Nothing but total silence. But inside they certainly were in feast.

Indeed, Martin Kabrhel is infuriating.

I've watched him for years on the EPT and he has always pulled stunts such as excessive talking and demanding people answer him to deliberately using any excuse to delay play. He's had the floor called against him countless times. It's weird because obviously. he is a very good player and though I used to think he was just a type who used his abrasive character as a tool against other players to tilt them, at times he seems to misbehave simply because he enjoys it.

I have also noticed he appear to dial back his behavior when he features at the Kings Casino, Rozvadov, because the casino is owned by associate and backer Leon Tsoukernik. Consciously ruining the atmosphere maybe not a good idea when the boss is Leon.

What a stacked final table! Like you guys said, with Martin being Martin it was annoying as always. But I am also very happy for Chris and to see his joy was awesome. I saw an interview a few days ago where he was asked about his recent bad run and he said, that while other people struggle in life, he "just" loses some poker flips and he still can pay his bills. To see him putting things in perspective shows that he is a good human being.

Wow, I didn't now that there was an event that gave that much to the winner, besides the main event.

Agree with everything said in this thread but we also have to point out what an absolute beast martirosyan is. That dude is crushing online and live nonstop on the highest levels. He also showed zero emotions about karbrehls antics. A real iceberg.

Smith on the other hand handled his bustout pretty poorly for a pro in my opinion but i can kind of relate to it since kabrehl is a maximal annoying guy and i can imagine that busting like this to 106s is really frustrating at that stage of a tournament with such a large buy-in.
