In the next five years, Daniel Coleman will take first place, he is very powerful now.
I don't think coleman really likes poker that much . but its hard to quit when you play ( and run ) as well as he does .

i agree that the list does not reflect true earnings and it is mostly based on one drop cashesDo these lists include all time Tournament $$$$ as they are abit pointless when you include the $100K and $1million Buyins. I thought there was a money list that didnt include 50K buyins +
Effectively a guy could win $30 million playing the big buyins but spend $40 Million, hardly a reflection of true ability, just that he has more $$$ than sense

Yeah, there's a different list for that: http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/ranking/5/
And it looks very different. For example, Antonio Esfandiari drops from 2nd place to 81st because $18.3 million of his total is the $1m buying Big One for One Drop (and it's public knowledge that he was pieced out in that event, so he didn't get to keep anywhere near that much, even before tax).
Here's the top 10 for open events with buyins over $50K excluded. You'll notice it's still distorted to some extent by single large wins from the WSOP Main Event (Gold, Jacobson, Duhamel).
