It’s strange, in general, usually after changing your email, or any other suspicious actions, the security services of poker rooms ask for identity confirmation before making any transactions.

I too have 'dont play' for Casino but what would keep a hacker from changing that option.

It takes 24 hours for increased playing limits to take effect, and you recieve an email confirmation. So you would then have time to contact them and say, something is wrong, since you did not make such a request. At least if you read your email daily, as I usually do.

But they'd be emailing you at the 'new' email the thief/impersonator was using while impersonating you.

PS should have an algorithm that detects a pattern of ~100 accounts from the same country changing their email addresses and then draining the account.

If they don't use something like that then this is an opportunity for all you genius IT people to propose and bid something like that!

Thats true. But would you not get en email to your old email-account saying, that the email has been changed? Then thats already a big red flag, and you have 24 hours to contact support. But anyways the main point is, that security has to be improved, so that hackers cant get access to our accounts in the first place

This is sad to hear, poker sites should have a safer security system, with the money the sites earn they should invest more in security

Hello everyone. I agree with many who have commented on this post - it is necessary for poker sites to strengthen their security system and take other measures. Very unpleasant news. I believe the PS security service as well as relevant authorities will not leave this incident without investigation and punishment for the criminals.

no need to relax on my end lol. ive just always and always will, much prefer playing poker live than online. especially when you are talking any kind of serious money.
