The 2022 wsop officially began on May 31st!

Given the WSOP venue has been moved from the Rio to Bally's and Paris casinos, there may be some growing pains. So, it wouldn't hurt to get a heads-up about a number of possible changes and research some of the extra fees you may incur if you plan to take a trip to the WSOP this year.

The article linked below has some great information to check out.

Short Stacks: WSOP Expects Record-Breaking Year

Do you have anything else you can think should be added to the list?

Thanks for the news.

As far as I know, I will be following the WSOP results and waiting for the latest news. ;)

One issue I had was whether the operation would be a smooth transition into the new venue and a lot of people showing up.

I just didn't want to be a guinea pig in their new experiment waiting on an endless line only to hear something silly like they couldn't find enough dealers or something silly with registering.

Hope it works out and everyone enjoys themselves and doesn't end up on a never ending line.

I have some doubts the entire transition will go that smooth but hopefully, everyone will bring their patience and also plan ahead in case of delays of any kind.

With any luck, the issues experienced are minimal. :)

Wow, I can't believe that it is here. How does everyone like the new venue? Is it tough to run between Bally's and Paris to play different events / cash, / SnGs?

I'll find out the answer to that next week, but it has to beat The Hallway from the Rio hotel rooms to the convention center. It made you want to catch an Uber from the front door to around back.

It's not like anywhere else on The Strip is that much better—WSOP or no.

Your right the strip is never cheap but there’s a point to being to much and that’s a 14 dollar hot dog for sure. Much better options than that one.

How about the registration or cash out windows, these were a nightmare at the Rio. You would have to register at 7 AM, or earlier, to avoid lines. I waited almost 50 minutes to cash out at the Rio. That seems unavoidable, as, players are elimiated all at the same time.

Is registration at Bally's or Paris or, both, that would be best.

How's the WIFI?
RIO was terrible.

I would love to hear any updates!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish I knew the answers to help folks out a bit but sadly I do not.

If anyone manages to make it to the WSOP (like Dave), maybe drop some thoughts in this thread (if you think about it :)).

I don't know if any of you saw the thread linked below, but there could be some tips in the videos in the article.

The kiosks last year were fantastic. And they are all over the place now. You pair a credit card with your Caesar's card (or deposit into an account associated with it). After that, you just walk up to one of the kiosks, select an event and register. It pulls out the money and spits out your seat card. Done. Payout was a little longer but they have added to that from what I heard.

The move from the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino to the new location appears to be extremely positive, including more dining options and more toilets. The territory is 200,000 square feet. 600 poker tables were placed, almost 33% more than last year. The first open event has also begun - a high roller bounty tournament in no-limit hold'em with a buy-in of $100,000, in which a player receives $25,000 as a bounty for each eliminated opponent .

During the series, until July 20, more than 100 bracelets will be raffled off, including 13 online.

Should pairing be done ahead of getting there? What fees are associated with this?

I'm sure the restroom situation has to be better than Rio's'

Looking forward to this.

When you first show up, you have to go to a room to simply confirm that the CC is yours and what not and then it is approved.

Fees are standard CC fees that retailers normally pay... but you do in this case because they can't just take it out of the prize pool.

Info is here... WSOP Registration
