Hello all, So as I had stated earlier I did finally recieve my payout via bitcoin. Here's what i've gathered from this whole experience. I have a Coinbase account and it has been verified, however it wouldn't give me an option to sell to paypal so I couldn't get my money. I tried to get through to coinbase support which is next to non existent. After calling them like 50 times I finally got through to someone early this morning. She said she didn't know what the problem was and would forward my issue to a tech, never heard back. Finally, I went to overstock which is a online retailer that accepts bitcoin, and I purchased a 550 dollar gift for myself, which went through fine. I figured this was probably my only option to get anything out of this mess. Folks, if you think the experience I had with ignition casino/poker was bad you should read some reviews on Coinbase! Don't take it from me do some research on them it's horrid. There are people with tens of thousands of dollars tied up in this and can't get their money!, and there customer support basically doesn't exist. Not to mention there is some sort of technical issue going on with them constantly. I'm just so glad I got something out of this! I of course closed my account with Ignition. Again, this is MY experience and doesn't represent everyone who chooses to play there or any experiences they've had. One time of this is enough for me, good luck to everyone, and safe gaming

Thanks for checking back in with us and letting us know how it went. I do think you could have been just a teensy bit more patient and allowed people to get back to you, but, that's easy for me to say: it wasn't my money on the line. But so many times people come in, make a broad statement, then never return for a follow-up, but you did! And we appreciate that. Good luck to you in the future!

No problem juiceeQ, I thought about waiting for a response from coinbase until I started getting deeper into recent reviews on coinbase...Yikes! From what i've gathered some people have been waiting on their money for months. I read one review about someone who sent them 35k and never recieved any bitcoins. Start doing some research on them it will give you chills!

Why would you close your account at ignition? Lol . They had your funds to you in less than 24 hours.

Also, no matter where you go(poker sites, forums, wallets, soclial media platforms) you're gonna find stories of people who've had bad experiences. Coinbase is one of the most trusted in America. Did you ever stop to think that in some of those instances, their funds were received, they just never came back to update on how it went? Coinbase Has worked like a charm for me every single time ive used them to convert bitcoin. I think you were just being very impatient.

dealio, that's why at the end of my post I said this is MY experience not anyone elses. I've read enough horror stories about them to satisfy me. If you like them that's great keep dealing with them, i'm not. You really had to ask me why I closed my ignition account, lol. Well, gee I guess because I waited three weeks for a fake check, and the 3 more days for bitcoin which I couldn't transfer to my paypal. Wow, you're right maybe I should re open my account, lol.

thats your own fault that you chose the check method to withdraw funds. They tell you up front "2-4 weeks". Also, you came here and posted about going to give bitcoin a try... That same day, you received your bitcoin from ignition. Sounds like excellent service to me. Also, ignition has NOTHING to do with you not being able to sell your bitcoin to paypal.

dealio, truth hurts doesn't it. So a casino that sends out bogus checks, and then sends you bitcoin which is sketchy in its own right sounds like an excellent service to you, lol. That's great bud I'm happy for you. By all means keep doing what you're doing. I'm just simply stating my own experience to inform others that might not find that kind of business practice appealing. I honestly do wish you the best!

supernuts, i'm talking about coinbase, and no they definitely don't have live chat. They are notorious for not answering inquiries. I read where some people have been waiting for their money for months with no response whatsoever from coinbase. I'm just glad I was able to actually buy something with the bitcoin and get out of there.

hello gotace, to be honest I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. Obviously I had to as it was my only option. The easy part it seems is getting the bitcoin in your wallet, but when you try to cash out you may or may not run into serious issues, and if you do run into issues you are screwed, because, there is no, and I mean no customer support. There are people losing their arse over this bitcoin thing, and to be honest the FEDS and the IRS are breathing down coinbases neck already that's a known fact. Until bitcoin becomes more stable and transparent I would steer clear of it big time.

bitcoin is actually pretty stable one of the most stable and will more than likely stay that way.
more people have actually gotten rich to making a very decent return.
it is down from last year but not that much and up extremely from the year before.
there are multiple wallets out there and it is very easily transferreable to cash.
before putting up wrong information. u should seriously do some research. now I'm not saying you can't lose money with it cause obviously you can bit it's going to be unlikely and that only going to happen if your leaving it in there for lon g periods of time.
but you can transfer it to use wallet even before you cash out and then it's stable.
I will gather some wallet links and you tube links as well. so we don't discourage people with wrong Info.
it's really a great way for poker fast secure and easy to use.

Is there something that can be done about this post, or the title it full of incorrect information.
I'm not sure if it's just a post builder.

Seems to only discourage people rather than help anyone in many ways .

supernuts, I'm afraid to tell you that you are a very VERY naive youngster who has a lot of learning to do. Bitcoin is a joke. If anyone needs to do research you do. Here you go supernuts https://www.trustpilot.com/review/coinbase.com Don't take my word for it, research away, but i'm sure all these horrible reviews are just very confused misinformed idiots right? My whole post is meant to inform people of a real experience that I had with frankly a total sham. If that hurts your feelings or doesn't jive with what you THINK is real then start your own post and promote it, but don't come on here and discredit me or my post!

I did change the title; I feel it's more accurate. This is a forum, and a place for people to post opinions. It's up to the readers to decide what's best for them, or what constitutes good advice.

I can tell by how rude you are that you have a lot of growing up to do, but don't worry you'll grow up some day I just hope you don't lose to much money in the process.
I know a lot of people with extensive experience in crypto-currency would disagree with you, but to each his own. But honestly, I don't see where supernuts has been rude in anyway.

hello juiceeQ, granted I did edit the rude part out of my post, but this guy has been trying to discredit me and my post since day one. I have done research very extensive research on bitcoin. If he likes Ignition casino or bitcoin or anything else that's great!, but he should start his own post about them and promote them. Like I said I'm posting my experience I'm not telling people what to do.

When are you going to understand that Ignition and bitcoin have nothing to do with each other? Bitcoin is a type of crypto-currency, that even the FBI uses. People from all over the world use bitcoin, and not just for poker.

Also, Just because you see bad reviews on coinbase.com, has nothing to do with bitcoin itself. Coinbase is just a wallet used to transfer bitcoin from platform to platform. There are tons of bitcoin wallets out there

Folks I'm not getting into this silly back and forth elementary school argument. I have spoken my experience and opinion on the matter. In the end people make their own choices, that's how we all learn what's best for us. The important lesson that I learned is that I no longer gamble online, and sure as hell won't be dealing with bitcoin. However, I don't look down on others that do or choose to in the future. This is my last post on the matter, wishing everyone well, and always good luck!

Thanks for posting. I'm actually going to deposit on bodog now hearing the positive things I've read on this thread... sounds like it is going well there for folks from the States.

Pretty sure Ignition, bovda and bodog all owned by the same group. As for coin base they make it really simpe to cash out to your bank account or paypal. You just have to link up your account and submit ID

Ignition corruption

I also cashed out a check and tried to cash it but my bank said the 3rd party who processes international checks wouldn’t cash it cause it was a fraudulent website. **** online poker. Shouldn’t be this hard. And the whole bit coin thing is about to crash. Be careful. I’m also reporting there fraud to as many sites as I can.
