90%? What are you saving other 10% for?
Account has like $550 in it so I figured $500 sounded like a nice round figure.
(don't you owe me an edit job on an e-book or somethin'? lol jk)

I am trying hard to understand this, are you saying that if I deposit $100 I am only allowed to put $10 on a table as a buy in? I have never heard of anything so ridiculous in my life.
I have opened an account on intertops but have never deposited there and dont think I will be doing knowing this, its madness:mad:

Did they call you on phone to verify or just do it through email?

Anybody knows how is the condition 'deposit turned over at least once' applied to cash games? Bets + blinds of total size of deposit? Or just sitting at table with all your bankroll once is enough, because there is one transfer from main cashier and then back :)

You can contact them & have your limit increased. First time I think it took ~48hrs. & needed to email them scanned driver's license, etc. (< I forget exactly)

No phonecall. They just emailed me back & was prompt ( < 24hrs.) but this was the 2nd time I've had it raised (first time it was $20... that was after winning $50 in CC freeroll (w/o deposit). I had limit moved to $200/day. Recently I deposited $20 & asked for limit to $500/day via email. It was taken care of quickly.

Think I'll give Intertops a miss in that case.

I am not positive about how it works these days, but in the future, due to whatever legislation comes out of any of the States or Federal Gov, you will need to prove who you are before you will be able to deposit. I believe this was normal at the big sites before BF. This is not bad IMHO.

You are establishing a financial arrangement with a money handling institution and it is in both parties interest to know who is who.

This also prevents you from getting pissed off later when you try to withdraw. It will be a fairly transparent verification at that point. In case you moved or something. The only folks who will get pissed off will be people like me, whose total br is derived from freeroll winnings.:eek:

Yeah and next step after proving who you are the poker room will have to report this new relationship to your country's tax office headquarters where they will track all your winnings for tax purposes, where they will need some new staff for handling of this kind of things, thus creating some new job opportunities in your country as well :)

Wondering what high is the percentage of players who find this "automatic bankroll management" thingy useful. That must be a specific breed of a player, only thing that comes to my mind is some newbie who never played internet poker and puts a high percentage of his life savings into the first poker room/casino he saw and by some crazy coincidence it was intertops.
Otherwise it's just a hurdle and a player should decide about his BRM himself, and for a new player who deposits just some minimum amount it reduces the possibilities of play to minimum.
Sure BRM is a good thing, but the bankroll doesn't necessarily have to be defined as a bankroll in any particular pokerroom, can be the global bankroll as the sum of bankrolls in all pokerrooms.

This ^^^

They all take your money instantly. Then hold your next of kin, family dog and closest neighbors hostage until you can meet all of their withdrawal requirements when you want to take out YOUR money if you are U.S.
