I am curious, do you play basic strategy blackjack or do you deviate and just go on feel?
90% of the time I use basic strategy.
10% I go by feel.

No matter how sick my stomach is, I never take insurance and always split or double down when warranted.

In the 5,000 hands I’ve played, I’ve surrendered may just 5 times. Only one of the 5 was I beaten by the dealer easily.

The scariest $500 bet I had was when the dealer showed 2 and I split 7’s only to land a third 7 and one of the three splits was double downable (7 3). Had $2k on the table.

Dealer show 2 Q and hit another Q.

The hardest hands for me are 88 or 99 when the dealer shows Ace or 10+. You just have to be fearless in those situations and split them.

Then...:there are manic mad moments where the betting is happening so fast, mistakes happen favorably or unfavorably.

There was one $500 bet where I had 17 and accidentally took a hit, landed a 4 and the dealer showed 20.

But there was also a hand where I accidentally hit a 20 on a $500 bet.

I think feel mostly comes to play with respect to value of bet.

The only sense of feeling I’m using is just being fearless.

I spoke to my best friend and he gave me an excellent piece of advice (my balance is still at 9.2k but just today it veered down to as low as 1.2k and I grinded up again on fearless play.

He told me his uncle once won a $5K poker tournament; 40 years later he was a broke old gambling addict. My buddy advised me to take the money I have now and just get the hell outta there while I’m ahead.

I’m seriously thinking about that because it’s an intense position to be in.

To slow down, I’ve been analyzing my win pattern. In 1,200 hands I analyzed, I hit blackjack 3.7% of the time which is less than the 4.5% average.

Where I am ahead is winning on the double down and split plays. Two times, I’ve split pocket 7s in precarious instances and won huge.

I’m getting close to closing shop for awhile for the safety of my own sanity.

I'm glad you got your money and congrats on your heater! Hope you keep running good.

Ignition is going to be my primary real money site while I use Blackchip and Betonline/Sportsbetting for freerolls.

I never considered playing Blackjack on Ignition; I just browsed their site and I gotta say, it looks pretty appealing. I haven't played blackjack in forever but I might give it a shot with some side money. Mind if I burrow your strategy? lol

I’m definitely no Blackjack mathematician. Just follow the basic a-b-c blackjack strategy you can find anywhere online. The key is to not let your emotions prevent you from making plays (like the splits and double downs). I mean, when you put down a $500 bet and you have 7 2 and dealers showing a an 8, You have to double down and take that hit even no matter what your guts telling you. Suddenly you’re riskingn $1,000, but you just have to be like Robert DeNiro in Deerhunter was when he was playing Russian roulette (lol). Same goes with the splits and the triple splits with double downs. Suddenly you’re risking $2,000-2,500 on one play but u gotta do it.

Mainly being fearless. In my hand analysis, I noticed that the dealer has never beaten me more than 10 times in a row.

But the key strategy I adopt that’s unorthodox is betting loosely ONLY with found money. I play poker first. Grind $100-$300, take half of it and then go to heavy betting on BlackJack. So If I win a $100 SNG, I take $50, go to the BJ table, make a single $50 bet and try to ride it in a streak. If I lose, I go back to the poker table and try and grind out another $100.

Once my balance became appreciated (when I got to around $3K), it became the opposite. When I’d lose a poker SNG, I’d go to the blackjack table and try to grind back what I lost on the poker table.

The other key is alternating between games. I never stay at Blackjack too long. If I win say $2K on 10 Blackjack hands, I go to a slower 9 player $2.5/$5 NLH cash game to slow down my heart beat.

Once Iost $200 SNG. I was leading at the turn with all the money at the flop. My opponent River rivered a flush. Lost my $200 bet. Boo hoo—-we all know that story.

Pissed off, I needed to cool down. So what do I do? Exorcise poker Tilt by betting $500 on two hands hitting a BJ and a double down raking in $1,750 on two plays! Suddenly, that beat was laughable.

Today alone on the poker table, I lost 5 all ins where I was a big favorite only to lose to the river or turn card.

But now today, after starting this morning at $7.3K, I’m now at $9.2K. But to be here at that level, I was down to as low as $1.2K.

I’m seriously trying to quit. $18K in winnings is pretty solid for two weeks of work.

Nice, I was looking at some blackjack basic strategy videos since I haven't played in forever. In fact, I first learned how to play from a the James Bond, World is Not Enough video game on Playstation way back in the day as a kid  I need to refresh my blackjack game play for sure.

That actually seems like a good strategy, alternating between the two games. I found that every time I stayed in poker cash games, I would eventually go broke even if I was on a heater the day or two before. So once, I get my bankroll started, if I make a decent run on cash tables, I will probably put aside a very small amount like you said, $50-$100 and work with that on the Blackjack tables.

I also want to start playing SnG's more. I usually jump straight into MTT's and go busto, instead this time, I will probably play mainly SnG's and satellites; I also want to try out Jackpot SnG's as well as Zone Poker.

Shoot man, to still be up that much is amazing and the fact that you're 100% aware of the fact that you're on a heater and can easily lose it is good. I would have probably lost it all by now shooting for 50k or 100k lol so props again. But I would try to take a nice little break for weekend instead of all out quitting. Maybe move down stakes if you're having trouble stopping since you're on a run.

Thanks for the advice, I will definitely implement it in my approach once I make my deposit on ignition.

Glad to hear you got your money. You should really consider posting some screen shots in your post here on CardsChat when you make claims against a site that is not paying you, screen shots go a long way in proving your claim is legit and you probably would not have doubters and a little more support. I know screen shots can be Photoshopped but I think people are pretty good at spotting that.

Agree but you’re not following the entire thread. Ignition paid me my BTC two days ago and in 16 hours once in my BTC wallet, the cash was in my bank account.

No complaints anymore like my initial post. When I wrote that, I was expecting a 48 hour BTC withdrawal turn around.

Ignition took 8 days before they paid me. For a BTC withdrawal, that’s slow, but compared to my last experiences with other sites, pretty darn good.

Yesterday was a bruta day. Still wound up $1.2k ahead. For the day, I was +$2.4K on the BlackJack Table and -$1.2K on the poker table. The best poker win was a pretty spectacular $200 NLH heads up where my opponent sucked out on my Aces flopping 2 pair leaving me crippled with around 300 chips, 10 hands into the heads up. I grinded for 64 hands and wound up catching up and then crushing my opponent when I flopped a nut straight with KQ and he shoved me on the turn with a J8 open ended draw.

After that, lost at least 5 or 6 critical all-in situations on the poker table in cash games and other tournies where had The lead at the flop and they sucked out, I’d’ve been up at least another $1k has it not been for bad luck on the poker table.

$1.2k in a day is awesome; you must be a beast on the BlackJack tables to be crushing like that. I can't wait to play blackjack again. Until then, I'm just gonna keep studying strat for blackjack and poker.

Ahh, that's the game for you I guess; can't win them all. Keep up the grind though.

Sorry bout that smallfrie. Didn’t mean anything. I was replying to your second point but skimmed past your first point.

I still don’t think screenshots are necessary unless I feel I need people to trust me. Everyone here is free to think I’m simply writing fiction.

Casino game, the psychologico is much bigger than in poker. Good rest.
Yeah, very true man. A week ago, I was betting with the mindset of “it’s not my money.”

Now, after 4 peaks and valleys, and back to the peak, it’s different now.

It’s not winning money. It’s my money.

So, psychologically, my approach is less maniacal now. Just treading water.

I nearly lost it all man. i’m Doubly lucky to still be here a week later.

I never had any trouble withdrawing . I always got a check ( from a Canadian bank ) in 4 to 10 days . It sounds like that might have been quicker and less worrisome than bitcoin in this much discussed run-up and cash out adventure .

Good luck to you RiverLord! To help you focus; remember not to go maniacal all at once. In the beginning, focus on grinding your poker payroll to at least double then when you started; in my case, I tripled my initial bankroll before I even thought to play Blackjack. Then, it’s a matter of finding that 3-5 game win streak with your BJ bet ramping up. Try to focus on getting there in 10 hands. If you find yourself blackjacking for more than 5 minutes, you run the risk of getting too compulsive and the dealer will grind you.

Since I started this run, I’ve been on losing streaks of >$4k, at least (3) times; and on of those times I fell into a ($20k) losing streak. Lucky for me, I’ve adjusted. In all those losing streaks, I played in longer sessions. My greatest winning sessions, where I won >$2k, I wasn’t blackjacking for more than 5 minutes.

The toughest adjustment that I am learning is to recognize when the dealer is on a streak. Everyday for the past 10 days, I’ve run into moments where the dealer hits 20-21 (once the dealer was at 16 and hit 4 or 5’s at least 3 or 4 times in 10 hands) at least 5-10 times straight. It’s very frustrating. It almost feels as if ignition is programming the dealer to kick my ass! But then, I remind myself that I once hit BJ (3)’s in a row and once won (10) consecutive $500 bets.

So patience and persistence comes into it too.

Lastly, avoid being excessive maniacal on the BJ table until you’ve crossed $2,500. At that point, you adjust by limiting your low end to $1,000 (ie: if the blackjack dealer grinds you down to $1k, slow down and go back to the poker table and try and win $500 to sort of recharge your win streak).

It’s been topsy-turvy.

Just another warning, so you don’t think I’m a guru. I was down $6k between 2018 and now (prior to summer 2018); I quit intertops for around 4 years after I lost at least $6k to them. I also lost probably another $20k to Full Tilt and pokerstars. Carbon? lol, I probably lost another $5k to them.

I’m telling you this because I’m probably still not a net winner as good as this run has been.

I didn’t get to this spot overnight. It’s been a 10 year grind.

Remember to be careful. These sites wanna make money off of you as much as you wanna make money off of them.

Be fearless, but do not spiral out of control. Punish yourself when you squander on dumb moves (I’ve made many dumb calls when I should have folded).

My punishment is usually 1-2 weeks without playing.

BetOnline is very reliable for payouts if its beginning of week, the closer to Friday the longer it takes due to the week end which is not counted. 1-3 days is really good for online casinos. But go through bitcoin.
Im thinking about playing casino side on ACR or Intertops, anyone ever win on those sites?

Ignition Payout Problem 2019

Just curious, my withdrawal is still in review period, long term ignition member, I tip Dealers, $10/20 Blinds Poker, High Volume player. Even got told my withdrawal has been marked HIGH priority yet it's been 60 hours and still nothing. They say as it's a larger payout they have to review it longer ??? Sigh... Feels like I'm getting the run around.

I am new to poker and I don’t know anything about the reliability of this site. But I will tell you with confidence that bitcoin will not rise. He will continue to fall. Too many people want to earn money on it and by doing so they renounce it. Read on the Internet the cause of the fall of the bitcoin.

I don’t blame you for being dubious. But if you really think Ignition is reliable then I’m happier than you could ever imagine and will be in Vegas in June.

I’m Not kidding man I can prove it.
I started with $200 deposit on around January 7;
2 days later $30k.

I was playing the jackpot SNGs. Lost the first two $60 jackpot SNGs and was down to $90; then won two $300 jackpot SNGs.

After that played Blackjack winning $400 bumping me up to $1100. Then I devised the idea that if I lost a $60 Jackpot SNG buy-in, I’d go to the blackjack table and try to win the $60 back. That’s when I won a few black jack hands and kept doubling my bets. I know it sounds unreal but suddenly, I was at $2,500.

I just kept switching from blackjack to poker. At one point I lost $500 on the cash game when my aces were cracked by AQ when dude flopped trip queens. I was pissed, so I tried to win the money back playing blackjack. And did...plus another $1,000.

Each time I won in blackjack, I’d go back to poker. No single black jack session won me more than $2,200.

I’m a bit in shock over it to be honest. I’m worried about gambling all the winnings away so In order to avoid the tables, I’ve been noting my sessions to see what the hell just happened.

It was a bit like an out body experience to be honest. At one point I was playing blackjack at $500/hand. Dipped from $27k to $15k and then, in 50 hands got on another run that got me back up to $30k. I was not even focusing on the money; I was just trying to up my rewards status. I am now at Titanium Level.

Imagine, making 10 $500/bets a minute. Betting Fender Guitars every 6 seconds, lol. It was unreal for me.

The crazy part was that most of this was done while I was at work (lmao). I would work. Then go back to black jack.

I’m hoping you are correct that Ignition is good. When my Bitcoin is received for $9,500, I’ll let you know. Now it’s the big limbo.

Prior to this, my biggest run in on-line gambling was at full tilt when I won a three way pot in a $2/$4 cash game and found myself at $2,500.

To be honest your story is a little hard to believe but I can tell you that Ignition has always been one of the top poker sites as far as trustworthy, and if they cant be trusted then no site can be..
Good Luck

Same EXACT EXPERIENCE

So after a big tournament win, i went completely ice cold. Bad beats, bad cards, you name it, i went through it for a solid 4 tournaments. Luckily they were small tournaments after my big win.

So I searched "Ignition Casino cold streak after big win" and this thread came up.

I read about the blackjack so I tried the exact same thing. I went to blackjack, started betting $50 at a time (I was at $700 after the win) and all of a sudden I was up to $1200 in a matter of 15 minutes.

Went back to the poker tables and the FIRST tournament I get into i have been red hot on my cards. Already made it into the cash and i'm 3rd in chips out of 17 people left.

I have no clue if this was a coincidence or not, but the entire tournament i've felt like they have set me up to win hands and win this tourney, just so i can go back to blackjack.

And I will do just that and test this theory again. Thank you OP.

Ignition/bovada are super reliable with payouts, so one shouldn't worry. Now that's not to say that they won't drag out your payment a fews day or a week in hopes of you continuing to play/gamble and losing all that money back and more. This is a common tactic by casino/sports betting firms online.

New Here, Ignition/Bitcoin Withdraw Question

Hi, Im new here and felt it would be more appropriate to post here instead of starting a new thread.

I bought into ingnition with a CC for $300 and now have $1900 so I am able to cash out. I figured out how to forfeit the Casino Bonus to make funds available for withdraw.

My question is is bitcoin the best way to withdraw? I have no knowledge of cryptos or the steps necessary to withdraw, convert to cash etc. Can someone give me a detailed step by step? Or should I request a check and just wait a few weeks or month (what i expect) to get paid.

Thank you

Cool dude! Ignition is a great site.

In blackjack be careful. I did go from $200-$30k in two days.

God’s honest truth.

But I also woke up on a Sunday a week later with $23k and 45 minutes later busted out in Blackjack when suddenly the dealer hit everything and I busted and couldn’t lower my betting.

Since then, I’ve gone on the worst cooler of my life!

You will get hot but unless you know how to put on the breaks, you’ll bust out fast.

Twice in Blackjack at Ignition, I lost 18 hands in a row on the blackjack table.

Just be careful.

Did you ever get paid guy?
