Sorry to hear about the problems some players are having with withdrawals from Full Tilt. As I read these stories, I almost feel guilty that my first withdrawal experience with Full Tilt was absolutely painless.
After a couple of years playing freerolls and micro-entry tournaments, my bankroll resembled a bloated python that had swallowed a pig. Well, more like a garter snake that had eaten a couple of crickets. Large crickets. Anyway, I recently decided that the time had come to extract some of my hard earned winnings. I read the instructions on the Full Tilt web page, opted for withdrawal by check, and started the withdrawal process.
March 16: submitted .pdf of driver's license and utility bill to cashier@fulltilt for identity verification
March 24: received email from cashier@fulltilt informing me that my identity verification was accepted
March 25: submitted withdrawal request to Full Tilt
March 27: withdrawal request approved
April 13: check arrives in the mail, 14 business days after withdrawal request
Haven't cashed the check yet so my story is unfinished, but the timetable for processing my request was exactly what was promised. Interestingly, the check I received is for .05 more than I requested. I don't track my account balance closely enough to know whether or not this is a bank error in my favor.
On a related note, the downturn in fortune at the tables that is rumored to accompany withdrawal requests hasn't happened, at least as far as I can tell. To be sure, I've had some hideous beats in the last few weeks... just like I did before requesting a withdrawal. I've also had my share of successes, including my first ever cashes in Cardschat freerolls.
Stories about the system working aren't terribly exciting, but the system does work, at least sometimes.
