Just don't take all of your money out, or you won't be able to play...ever...again

But seriously the only way I had to deposit was e-checks, and I did it ONE day before all this mess. God I feel so lucky

Wait a sec, you mean we can't deposit at poker stars now either?!? OMG, I think I'm realizing how messed up this whole thing is....

So basically unless you're willing to pay a hefty service fee for other methods (Western Union, cashier's checks, etc), there's no way to get $ into PS, correct? I believe they also accept visa, MC & Diners -- but none of which ever get successfully authorized in the U.S. I wonder how on earth they are going to deal with the reality that US players are not going to start doling out for fees associated with other methods, and thus how they are going to lose a massive share of the market.

Does anyone know if they are planning to (or already do) accept ewallets? ...you know, besides neteller & others Americans can't use. UltimateBet & Full Tilt allow a few. I bet they're going to see some major traffic heading they're way.

yea ky did but i can still play at pokerstars fulltilt reefer carbon and ub but pokerstars echeck has been down for some reason so i decided to deposit at ub big mistake i hate everything about ub software and all sux lol

Wow this is funny stuff. I see this kind of post all the time. I'm guessing james lost his entire deposit or the majority of it.

The software is bad--yeah that's it, that's the ticket.

When it comes down to it, I don't care how pretty the site looks or the coooool graphics (like a pot smoking laughing skeleton whose head falls off). It's all about the poker.

Was planning to play in the 200 seat guaranteed wsop touney on Stars tomorrow, but now I'm wondering if I should skip it, because if I win and can't withdrawl the money, what the hell is the point!

You can always get your money back via snail mail.....

PS should just set up fake paypal accounts that you can transfer to and change the names every day. Cheaper than WU.

I've never tried it, but from what I've heard you can deposit via paper check too, it just takes a few days longer -- so you're not entirely blocked from depositing.

Dakota, you mentioned North Georgia -- that's where I'm at too, and the Wal-Marts here have the All Access cards available at their Murphy gas stations (not sure about in the store, haven't looked). I never bothered because my Visa CC still works at FT last time I tried, and I haven't deposited at Stars since the first of the year (I've been fortunate enough to cultivate that deposit into a decent bankroll). I"ll be sure to leave a small chunk of my big win from Sat. night at FT, just in case they shut down my VISA in the future, too...

Oh well - there is one of those with the Murphy gas station about 20 miles from here. I will keep that in mind next time.

I'm really curious about this. How you does this work exactly? (Or wait, did you mean PS as in Poker Stars, not p.s...)

I live in Kentucky and I used echeck earlier today. I've also cashed out with no problem.

I live in Connecticut and just last Thurday was able to deposit using echeck. Two weeks ago I was not able to do this. There was a message saying echeck was temporarily unavailable. All seems well now.

This thread is old but I see no point in starting a new one. A few days ago I tried to deposit using a pre-paid visa credit card and it didn't work. I then e-mailed their Deposit Assistance department and all they said was try e-Check. lol

I of course did not try e-Check since the whole point of having a pre-paid card is so that I never have to give out my bank account info. I did however start a Western Union account which I funded with the pre-paid card then was going to deposit that way but was infuriated when I realized that pokerstars doesn't allow pre-paid card funded Western Union accounts. That was a total waste of 15 mins of my time so I decided just to deposit on FullTilt.
