With neteller denying access to Canadians shortly, which methods are you guys going to be using in the future?

Are there fees with click2pay and/or epassporte?

How long do the transactions take?

I'm looking up info on their sites, but opinions/info straight from anyone who already has accounts at any of the other deposit sites would be great.

tyty!

I'm not sure about click2pay and Epassport. But I just use my bank account, for depositing and withdrawal, I get my deposit immediately and withdrawals within 2 to 3 business days. All sites I have been to do it. No bank fees, no site fees and no third parties, I've been using it now for 6 months with no problems. They may ask for an iban # just call your bank they will give it to you, something to do with other countries.

I couldn't get the verification from EPassporte and I've heard of others waiting weeks for transactions to go through

you are one trusting soul

After what I have been through there is no way in Hadez I would ever let a pokerroom link to my bank account. So you are one trusting soul, aloevera. I have applied to instadebit - also no fees for either deposits or cashouts. Instadebit also links to your bank account and I hear deposits are instant - not sure how long withdrawals take but they say within 3-5 days of receiving them from the site - They do a credit check so ya may not qualify if you have bounced cheques before.

I just think a third party provider like InstaDebit is a safer route than allowing the pokersites to link directly to your bank account. Instabebit is the online banking provider for many sites outside of gambling. If they did something fraudulent their whole business would be gone. Pokersites seem to screw someone everyday, so I wouldn't even trust the best of them.

Any bankers out there? Is it possible for an unethical pokersite to gain access to the funds in your bank account if you have given them license to withdraw and deposit from it? It's their software and many of them are offshore and could easily drop out of site after clearing out bank accounts and just appear someplace else. What could one do?

Slap me now I am getting freaking paranoid.

I may be one trusting soul CallMeBaby, but like previously mentioned, I have never had any problems at all. I myself have also used InstaDebit, I don't mind it. echecks are used no differently than writing a check. No other monies can be withdrawn or deposited to your account, without your permission. Its no different than paying my utility bill online or by phone, so are you telling me I shouldn't do that either in case the Hydro company cleans me out? I'm not saying to use it for sites that we don't know or may possibly go under. Our forms of deposit and withdrawals here for both Americans and Canadians are becoming harder and harder. I know of many people that use this method, and have also had no problems. If I thought it was unsafe, I would never tell my friends to do such a thing....thanks for the information on InstaDebit. :)

If e-pass can't figure out how to send a couple of cents to your bank account over the internets in a timely manner, why would anyone trust them with any real amount of money?

Also, if you finally do get the account set up, their fees are unreal-- but just try finding out what they are by looking on the site !

Shady.....

well 6 months hardly counts for a reference...

It is MUCH different - the utility companies have addresses and assets, and licenses - the poker rooms operate offshore so that they are above the law of the land - and ever try to find their street address or do a reverse info on their phone humbers.
And as far as staying solvent goes, you have absolutely no quarantee a site isn't going to go under. Even a good site could be hit by disaster - such as the gambling restrictions - or money laundering scam that goes public.

Anyway, not trying to scare ya here, but I like my automated chequing requests made by a bonafide company - or at least one that has an address.

I actually think you are missing my point. I'm not quite sure how your bank may deal with poker sites...however when I deposit to a site, I don't deposit 100's of dollars at a time, maybe 50 bucks. No site has any authorization to enter my bank account, my bank won't simply allow it. So if they are an off shore site or a site with any address and go under then I haven't really lost much. $50 and It really doesn't matter how you get the money there, it is theirs when they go under. I get my money from the site long before it comes out of my bank account, I also can put a cancellation on it at anytime, even after I spent it here in one night.

Yeah I know I don't do that.........:D

Exactly April. No bank is going to allow a company unlimited access to your funds - you are as safe with that at the other option. :)

A simple solution: open a separate bank account for poker-- you can just leave it empty most of the time, using it only for the convenience of electronically moving your funds.

I signed up for Epassporte recently. It took 2 days to get the two small deposits from Epass and verify my acct. It does take about 7 or 8 working days to load funds onto Epass from your bank acct. Try to plan ahead if at all possible. I would not link my bank acct. directly to a poker site, but I'm American, I don't trust anyone anymore.

Here is some info on fees:

Load Funds
Your ePassporte Personal Account can be funded with the following load mechanisms:
Visa or MasterCard Credit and Debit Cards
US Checking Account Cash at Participating US Banks
Load and Reload Mechanisms Fees
Visa or MasterCard Credit and Debit Cards US$5.00 per US$100.00 load or portion thereof
US Checking Account US$5.00 per US$100.00 load or portion thereof for the initial load, then US$2.00 per reload regardless of amount reloaded.
Cash at Participating US Banks US$9.95 per load

To withdraw is $2.00 each transaction. It isn't too bad, but I play a lot of Prima sites so I have Ecocard also.
