bow dog is one of the worst sites to play it takes forever to get your money .plus you had to pay at least fifty dollors by fed ex
Bodog must be slow I play at ub and they pay fairly quickly. When I withdraw by fedex I usually get the check the next day usually. I hear you about getting paid now cause its almost like fake money online. Where all you see are these numbers and not these dollars.

to all poker players. i cant believe most players do not figure the cost to play on mostpoker sites. three percent to buy in. eight dollors to fifty dollors by fed ex. eight dollors is by paper check. bo dog took over fourty day to get my check. five percent vig. total these up see how much it cost to play. win or lose if you play small games you are going to have a problem making money. beware of what you do unles you are wealthy.

With me, i had kind of an issue with bodog's payout. It took about 5 months instead of the either one or two weeks they said. It was only after constant emails that i finally got it.

I just requested a withdrawl. It was approved in about an hour. It's only fourty bucks and the only option I saw for payment was check by mail. It said it would take between 12 and 15 buisness days.

Of course I've never deposited there so maybe thats why there were less options for withdrawing moneys.

I'll post when I see it and tell you how long it took.

How long ago was this? It seems they are improving things the last few months. Mine took 9 business days.

My recent Bodog withdrawal took 9 business days, 13 actual days.

It cost NOTHING. Those of you who are saying they charge for a check are spreading misinformation. Bodog's policy is clearly spelled out on their website. The first check each month is free but there is a charge for a second check in a given month. Just time your withdrawals and it's free.

Carbon says they take $15 out of your check as a processing fee, but happily they charged nothing on my withdrawal.

And online poker is a cheap deal. Somebody complaining about a 3% buy-in fee? Do you mean rake? The rake on most sites is actually 5%. Compare that to the 10% rake charged at most casinos and online poker is a great deal.

There is getting to be more opinion than fact on this forum. It's sad. People ask for information or advice and they get all this bogus stuff.

Glad to see your post here glworden, as I just started to play at Bodog, so I guess I can get the money out, IF I win some, and ofc your on target with the rake answer, however for tournaments and S'n'G it around 10% as standard.

Sorry, but you are wrong about the charges. If Bodog has a buy-in charge, I'm not aware of it. Perhaps you paid a 3% fee for an intermediary, like eWallet or something?

Either they do or they don't have a fee; there is no point in arguing. I will look at their site and post the FACTS.

My withdrawal was in November and there was no charge. Have they changed the rules since then?

Listen acy, your intent in informing people is great, but your information is just plain wrong. If you're going to say stuff, why don't you check it out first?

I went to the trouble of going to the Bodog site and got these direct quotes from their financial FAQs. Now will you please stop telling people about fees that don't exist?

Bodog does not charge any fees for depositing eCash into your Player Account.

When processing your Credit Card deposit, your card issuing bank may impose fees as outlined below. Bodog does not collect these fees or benefit in any way and as such you will be responsible for any additional costs.

All deposits with Bodog are processed free of charge. However, we may charge a fee if you deposit money into your Bodog account and then withdraw it without placing any bets first. This fee will be limited to our actual costs of processing the transactions. In addition, eWallets may charge their own fees per transaction as per their specific policies. You may inquire for a fee structure from the eWallet you are using by contacting them directly. Also, Your Credit Card provider or Card Issuing Bank may also charge fees such as Cash Advance Fees or International Transaction Fees. Please review our Fees section for more information.

Withdrawal Fees*
Bodog will cover your fees for one payout per calendar month. Some premium payout methods may have additional fees attached to them. Subsequent payouts in the same month will incur a US$ 40 processing fee. If applicable, fees for residents of your area will be displayed on the Payout Page when you are logged into your Bodog account.

Please note some payment providers may charge you additional fees to receive your funds, which Bodog is not responsible for.

If you are worried about payout times b/c you "need the money" then you probably shouldn't be playing online for money to begin with.

Bodog used to be a LOT faster before the new laws in the US kicked in, so maybe the delays are just part of the new costs of doing business. If you're in the US, complain to your local representative (like they care!)!!

I know two guys that play enough poker that they could make a living at it, and both play on PStars. If you have ever heard a salesman talk about "putting stuff into the pipeline" so they will always have something coming out once it gets going, that's what these guys do. They request payouts every two weeks so that roughly every two weeks or so they are getting something coming in, big or small, once they got the first ones.

HOWEVER, it's important to add that both of these guys have other income besides poker, so they wouldn't be starving or missing a car payment if a check took longer or was smaller b/c or a bad run. In other words, they don't rely on that money to live on so a variance of a week or two isn't going to mess them up.

Well its here. Received by Fed Ex in six days. You can't complain about that. Couple that with the fact I never deposited and there was no fee whatsoever to withdraw and I'm thrilled. :deal: :)
