From my observations ALL the major sites' traffic has DOUBLED...
Who could have predicted that.

A few more fishes is quite good for a solid players. Fast income with not so much efforts sound interesting, but does it that true?
More players on tours mean more tables, more long play, ITM is reachable but does it bring good value for your spent time?
I'm guessing that even now the traffic is increased, that number will fall down fast since players will be losing their money and from another side there is job's that are closing and making people's income harder.
As the situation seems at this time there's people who are playing for fun and I don't believe that they will continue their play after few blow-ups.
Here for sure mayor poker sites will make few bucks more but that will change in a second from my point of view.
I wish you all to have a good health and strong mind for overcoming this period.

The coronavirus has made the community of poker players increase, as well as the bad players, who come in to have fun and leave juicy profits, so now we see enough fish in poker, that does not harm, otherwise it improves because poker needs fish. to make it profitable.

There are more players online, which is a good thing but the pokerstars is so slow now, when it reaches over 200k players it is so slugish. At least for romanians it is like this.

As we have probably all noticed, far more people are playing online poker these days because of the virus related lock-down in large parts of the world. This is obviously good for poker sites, but for us as players the more interesting aspect is, what all these new players are doing to game quality.

And based on my experience playing on PokerStars I have to say, that it is absolutely amazing, what this has done for the traditional full ring cash games. They are simply full of really bad fish to an extend, which I am sure has not been seen for more than a decade. Its a absolute gold mine, and presumably the situation is similar on other poker sites. Zoom games on the other hand seem to not have benefited much at all. Volume has increased a bit, but they are still an extremely nitty affair with very low players per flop numbers and very few true fish.

SnGs also dont seem to have benefited much. They are still quite reg infested, especially the 18-180 mans, which I mainly play. Tournaments might be somewhere in between, but they were kind of soft already, so for me it seem like, traditional cash games are the main beneficiary of the large influx of new or returning players. For those of us, who missed the poker boom 15 years ago, this might literally be the chance of a lifetime :)

really, a lot of people spending time to participate in online poker, a lot of people who didn't have time to practice now have it, it makes a difference, and with that many people may be discovering a talent that they didn't know they had .....

This affects for the better for poker. In the first, online has grown by 2 times, and this is only the beginning, people will have nothing to do and they will start playing more.
Secondly, it will be easier for players who have played poker for a long time since beginners do not know how to play.
In the third, interest rose to play poker.:)

I don't like the fact that coronavirus is used for marketing because it is a very serious matter. However, there are more freerolls because of this.

I play on PS Pennsylvania and while the network typically has 700 to 1k players, I'm seeing 4 or 5k now. Games are softer and I'm not bumping into the regs.

With all this being said, when it is all over, people will flock back to the casinos. There is no poker like live poker and online is just a quick fix and ultimatley for the recreational player. There is little to be excited about with online poker until there are real sites that stand up and prove its not a scam.
