Using real chips while playing online.

So, I found this old post where this guy is asking if people use chips while playing online and it actually caught my attention cause I do shuffle and flick chips with one hand and have the other on the shortcuts while playing online but apparently it's not a common thing.

How about you, do you mess with real chips while playing online?

I never play around with chips and I never wanted other people to think I had been around a casino before. I always wanted them to think this was my first time playing.

I would just grab chips and count them out slowly and clunky but always the same way every time that's the real trick, lol.

Played in a casino for years and years and have chips at home and was never interested in doing that stuff. Anyone can pick it up with a little practice and it won't change how folks view your play so no point to it.

This is interesting and something I haven't thought about. I haven't played real poker to know what I would do, but I think I might dig out some chips to give this is a try. I have a set that used to be my bother's. Thanks for the idea!

It's been a long time, but I did start doing that for a short period. I think I was just pining for live play to be honest.

I have but most of the time, kids/wife, are sleeping so the extra noise is no good

I, myself, shuffle and fondle a stack of 10, 11g ceramic chips. It's soothing and keeps my mind from wandering, strange enough. My wife used to think something was wrong when she couldn't hear them 'tinking'. She says it helps her sleep, lol.
