PokerStars Throwables: Funny or Annoying?

pokerstars have a challenge where you can earn the "right" to throw stuff at other players.
I think that it is crap, and have nothing to do with poker, and I absolutely do not consider it a reward.
What do you think?
- is it funny?
- is it to be considered a reward you have to earn?
- do you like having stuff thrown at you?
- do you like throwing stuff at other players?

Maybe it's funny sometimes but I don't use the new Aurora engine so I don't have access to those virtual tomatoes , fireworks , cups haha etc. I agree with you though , I wouldn't call them ''crap'' but needless or useless. I mean I don't care if I am able to throw s**t to the player who has coolered me!

Agree, I'm happy I'm not the only one finding it useless. Wonder what PS think when they develop that kind of features?
I also encourrage players who like throwing things to give their feedback?

I think it's way better than offending people verbally.
This doesn't just happen at pokerstars. Virtually all rooms have this feature. The difference is that pokerstars reward them for completing challenges, in this part I don't really agree as I think everyone should have the same pitches. But it also makes things a little more interesting.
* I'm not jugating and I can't judge anyone because I've offended and also suffered offenses. But throwables are a good alternative for us not to make this kind of gross mistake with people.

Well, do not really know why PokerStars made that guess probably just copied from 888. My opinion it's not actually related to poker at all and throw a garbage to your opponent is not really funny. And yes I do throw as well if some annoying person throws first that crap on me.

Perhaps PS and 888 try to attract gamers by changing the pokertable to a computergame:angel:

I actually like it. I use it a lot, especially the garbage one lol. It's kinda funny and it does help me relax my anger.

My laptop is very weak, after the latest pokerstars update and overheating these days my laptop is barely working, such nonsense will make it slower

I don't mind at all people throwing things at me.
Sometimes, I use the fireworks on someone that made a good play.

I think it can work very well in poker. It works as a quick fun way to send a message to another player.

Sure, I not entirely sure but I think on PS you only have a certain amount of time to do the challenge that gets you a new one. So that might make it a special reward prize.
- do you like having stuff thrown at you? I don’t mind, I find it rather amusing.
- do you like throwing stuff at other players? I have not used a throwable on PS as of yet, not have I tried to earn any (no particular reason why). I have/and do use them on 888 though, my favourite one to use there is the Trophy. I like using it there when someone had a really good hand, or something like that. I like using the Tomato, when I see people saying nasty things in chat.

I think, its quite silly to make them part of a reward system, as PokerStars have done. But I dont mind throwables as such. I think, they are fun for recreational players, and as others have said, they can be used to needle opponents. I have seen high stakes players do that on final tables, and if its ok for them to do it, for sure the rest of us dont need to feel bad about it either

I do not fancy using throwables. But there are players who do enjoy throwing it on me. As long as its fun for someone and not annoying for others, its all good.

I think it's harmless and aims for greater interaction that can be good / bad, I don't use, for me, less things to pay attention in tables, better

Yeah, it's juvenile and then some. I thought it was automatic when I first saw it.

I remember when we were much younger playing home games. If one of the guys had a bunch of chips somebody would knock over his stacks so he would have to straighten them up. If it ever happens to you it would never bother you because you knew you were up a lot of money. It's hard to lose that good feeling.

You are right. I think it's definitely silly to encourage such practices when the typed chat already contains enough crap. Besides being childish, it's an unnecessary added distraction of which you are somehow a part even if you are not using it. Thankfully, you can get rid of it in the settings.

I hardly use them as I have very limited choice about them.
They are offered to the cash game players, but hardly to the SNG players.
And only sometimes I think, wow what fancy stuff is flying around the table now, lol.
I do not mind them, but I also do not need them somehow, so therefore for me
it is not a real reward....
