Hello together,

at the moment I'm starting with streaming my small stakes SNG on pokerstars with OBS studio. Normaly I'm playing four tables and on the screen you can see this four tables. People asked me to show only one table in full screen and when the action goes to the next table in full screen. Is this possible to make the active poker window to full screen (I'm playing on 2 monitors, on one are the tables and on the other is OBS running). This should be done very quickly.

Thanks for some hints.

My experience with streaming is quite narrow. I've only done it on Youtube with the Restreamer software and with Rasberry Pi.

So my advice goes something like this...

When you are showing a layout with four tables, you have actually built or chosen that layout yourself, right? So now you'll have to build a different layout. It could be something similar like what RichyRob has, where large amount of the screen is used for the table, and then there are these other "layers" with different content. And when Richy plays he simply changes the capture source of that main window - or so I gather.

Or you might want something what most gamers do, where the game is displayed in full width of the screen (and that is a different layout).

Either way, you have to build the kind of layout that fits your needs. Then you have to find a way to change the source feed on the fly. And when you play and go from one table to another the source changes automatically.

This kind of plugin for OBS might help you.

Again, I've never streamed on Twitch.

I'd be interested to hear people's experience of streaming online poker.

I half-heartedly tried it a few years ago, but found OBS very fiddly and non-intuitive to set up.

So many poker streamers these days have such great approaches to presentation and their community, and have grown big followings. I wonder if seeing these relative success stories inspires more people to do it themselves, or puts them off given how it's probably going to be harder to compete with established streamers?
