Hello all,

I'm very curious about the taxes you have to pay in your countries for the deposits/withdrawals from online poker. As I heard in a lot of countries there is no tax for Poker

According to Kazakh tax laws, a poker player is required to pay a 10% tax if his winnings are over $1,100. At the moment, there are no known cases of receiving tax subpoenas for players who have won in online poker. I found this information on the Internet, I do not know how relevant it is today.

gambling winnings are tax free, here in the UK. The government taxes the gambling companies instead, they raise more tax overall that way.

Good morning.I have made several withdrawals from $100 to $500 and never had to pay any taxes.Maybe If I wanted to withdraw more money, I would have to pay a tax.Regarding deposits,no taxes at all.

There's no better thing than living in a country where (all) gambling wins are tax free

I have never paid taxes when I made cashout in the past. But it was a long time ago because now I prefer keeping the money in my bankroll than withdrawing.

In Belarus, the tax is 13% for money coming from abroad from any amount of income, and even if you returned your previously lost money. The main thing is that you need to declare the receipt of money yourself before March 1 next year, after that the tax authorities will calculate the amount and it must be paid by June 1 next year.
You can not submit anything, but the tax authority sees all the receipts and if they find you, you will have to pay a fine and again a 13% tax.

In Hungary, nobody knows anything - and i suppose nobody pays, at least i dont know anybody.

Anyway, it is the pure gov maffia stealing category. The simple taxing is pure stealing, but it is double taxing category, so even worse.

and people discuss it, as a "normal" thing... :) :) amazing...

No taxes in the U.K for Poker winnings.

Taken from google.

The short answer is no—your gambling winnings aren't taxable, at least in the UK. Here you won't have to pay taxes on any of your winnings or stakes. It doesn't matter if you've won £100 or £1 million. This applies to all types of gambling—from bingo, to slots, to lotteries, and even horse racing.

Here in austria, poker winnings are also tax-free. That's why some high rollers live in Austria. One of the best known of these is Fedor Holz.

Here in Brazil you have to pay taxes if your annual total income is over around $6k and the % depends of the amount of money you win in a year (counting all your sources of income). The max tax rate is 27%, which is an absurd of taxes.

Technically not true . It's the player who doesn't have to pay taxes in many countries , it's the Casino/pokerroom
I know for example many spanish pros live in Malta , London or Vienna because Spain taxes the player 50% of their winnings !!

In Poland it is a bit complicated, tournaments organized in the country are taxed with 25% tax, tournaments abroad with 10% income tax. We have an ambiguous gambling act to which poker has been attached, which will certainly be improved in the near future in favor of players in Poland.

at the moment there are no taxes for withdrawal of funds
but on December 8 a new law came into force, entry and withdrawal to betting sites only on an account opened in a bank, they will track your deposits and withdrawals of funds and at the end of the year it will be taxed, poker sites are next in line

As already mentioned in other comments, in Brazil there is no specific tax but it is necessary to pay income tax.

I live in Ukraine and we are at war now, so no one thinks about such things. But before the war, I did not pay any tax, although as far as I know, our tax legislation provides for the payment of tax in case of winning money, for example, in the lottery.

yes, it is, but when the strange is ruled by uneducated people, for them such concepts as confidentiality, personal life, the human right to something, concepts are too high
