Suspicious situation in Titan poker

Yesterday I was playing one of the scheduled tournaments for those who have deposited the last month (which is accessed through a ticket).
I am the leader in chips with approximate 30k and followed by the second with 20k. When we get to the final table, I notice that the player with whom I had been playing for some time located on my right goes from 10k to 30k of chips. This was strange to me, since the format of the tournament did not allow neither rebuy nor addons. Consulting him how he did to get those chips he answered me: that he had paid two tickets. Anyone else know what he was referring to?
The truth is that if it is legal, I find it quite unloyal to be able to buy 20k in chips in a final tournament instance. In the end I finished second and this guy took the first place.
I attach images of what happened

I have played in that tournament and you can enter with 2 tickets. I havent reached the final table with both before but it makes sense that this is what happens if you do.

Ipoker has a lot of multientry tournaments, at least they had, I wasn't playing there for a while. That means you can pay to enter the same tournaments up to 4 (?) times at once, basically you can be playing 4 different tables at the same time in the same MTT. And once you reach FT or maybe it happens earlier once there is no more option for all your entries to be at the different tables, you're sitted at one table with stack that includes stacks from all of your remaining tables. Hopefully that made sense.

Thanks you now I understand. I was not familiar with the multi-entry format

Wow.. this really happens? only multi entry I've seen is you bomb out to $0 you get to re-enter. then you might also get add on opportunities. People playing at different tables in same tournament seems a bit dodgy.

no it's not at all...the software will never seat 2 of you entries at the same table. Say you have 4 entries and are down to the last 4 tables, fine...you have 1 seat on each table. When it gets down ti 3 tables, assuming all 4 of your entries still survive, the software will merge 2 of you entries ( put the 2 stacks together into 1) so you will now have 3 seats. And so on. The cardroom rules will explain it all very clearly. Hope that helps :)

The monthly 10K freeroll at Titan Poker you the option of playing with up to four entries or rebuy. I think Titan Poker is better then william hill when it comes to promotions as William Hill took away the club status 3 freeroll along with the weekly facebook sng ladder tickets freeroll.

How do you cashout from williamhill?

I closed my account on there a few years ago when they no longer offered any cashout options for me. (canada)

Multi-entry tournaments were first introduced on Fulltilt back in 2010 I believe. And as has already been mentioned in this thread, your stacks would combine if you still had 3 entries alive when it moved to final 2 tables, & again if you still had 2 alive when it hit final table. iPoker has also had these running for quite some time. I enjoyed these games as it enabled me to be able to play 4 tables at the same buyin amount (instead of waiting a half hour or an hour for another to start)

I did one cashout the only option is bank transfer and I got charged with an unexpected high $15 bank fee.

Pls correct me if I'm wrong:
So the ROI in multi-entry MTT's increases when you register the max number of times.
This seems similar to auto top-up to max in cash games.

Wrong. Each entry is played out as it would be in any normal tournament. The difference is for example >> IF you still have 2 entries alive on the bubble of the final table... your two chipstacks will then actually combine, becoming 1 (you're not able to ever have two of your entries on the same table). This is actually -ev (ICM) for the player.... but it's still loads of fun & personally I like the whole concept. (ie. say it's a fairly large-field game that is at the buyin level you prefer to play in. This way you can have more games/tables running as opposed to seeking out more sites & more tourneys to play in. (ie., back when Fulltilt had these tournaments the buyins I preferred to play were $5 to $26, most commonly playing the $10's. If I wanted to play 10+ tournaments at a time I'd find a game on UltimateBet, a couple on Stars, one on Carbon, another on bodog, another on PokerTime, and maybe one on Titan. But with the METs (< multi-entry tourneys), I could pick just my favourite few sites and then play all 4 entries in a MET on top of that.)

Thanks, 'obviously' I'm just aware of ICM, but unaware of the implications.
Need to study more.:icon_stud

Not long after they were introduced on Fulltilt there was a thread on 2p2 going into detail about how they were actually -ev (because of how the two stacks combine into one when reaching final table... (or 3 tables down to 2)).

Study? Yah... you & me both. I need more motivation. Used to soak it up like a sponge.
