The trend is that the number of players will return to the same as before the quarantine, but I think it will still be a few months before this happens.
I both play on pokerstars and own my own poker app. I can tell a difference on PokerStars when I play with bigger buy-ins. The traffic on my own App have also seen a decrease of 20-30% since May.
For the last week we had a large increase in players again tho. I think it might be because of the 2nd wave that seems to be lurking in the US? Not sure and I think it's too early to tell for now.
I can keep you updated on our numbers if interested?
I think so. Because, they have options to do out of playing poker if the quarantine finished comparing the high time of the quarantine.
Of course, the total number of players has been increased before starting the corona time.
I didn't notice difference in the number of players yet, but I think that after all countries ended their quarantine period the number of players will come back to the normal. In the state where I live we still are in quarantine, but when this is over, I also will have to play less poker.
Yes the number of players are almost down to pre COVID-19 levels. Maybe its still up 20% or something, but the boom is largely over. On the positive side this mean, you can now sometimes find tournaments with an overlay. You can follow the actual numbers here:
yes the number of players decreased but it is still higher than before quarantine and I think it will stay like this these are those people who did not play much and because of quarantine they started to play more
The Covid-19 pandemic has caused the quarantine to become widespread in several countries, which has prevented people from playing sports or attending entertainment venues such as casinos, making the virtual offering appear as a new option. online poker games have dominated the world of virtual betting for years and with the appearance of the virus, their presence has been enhanced. The same situation has occurred with online casinos, which have absorbed the demand before the venues close.
I think that with quarantine the players online are more than before the quarantine. There are more people in their house and they can not get out. Some people return to play online
At the very beginning, in my opinion, but in itself I will say from the beginning of the summer and even a week earlier, poker took a back seat as the working days began:dancing2:
A little decreased it is , that's true imo , at least in the micros, tournaments have decreased guarantees , some tournaments vanished , zoom pool players decreased , etc etc . many examples you can find . It's normal , some people are bacjk to work , some restrictions have been lifted
