ok so in this thread https://www.cardschat.com/forum/gen...can-make-money-online-poker-87098/index2.html we have discussed over and over and over about beating low limits where origional poster keeps saying beating over $25NL is impossible for your average to good player. Myself and a coupld other users have totally disagreed with him and what the average player expects to make from those limits, I think he said something like $1 a hour or something which is also incorrect. I think by playing a TAG style you can make a lot more from those levels and should be able to play higher limits. On my last response on the thread which is this....

all this talk of not being able to beat low limits has really gotten to me.

so what I decided to do was do about a 5-6 video tutorial on beating low limits which most concider $25NL to $100NL and I will play at $25NL and explain basic concepts I take for granted that a lot might have trouble grasping still.

you are going to have to give me around a month to get $500 over on full tilt, I have to many pressing matters at home to throw that much online right now but in about a month I should have some money laying around that I should be able to put on. Maybe I can get admin to sticky it for a month or so till the whole series is finished.

with this I will be playing very tight profitable TAG style play. I got this idea from the cardrunners video series that is basically the same thing. I just hope to show players that playing a tight aggressive style you should be able to beat limits up to $1/$2 nl pretty easy. I would do the $50NL but that would take about another month to get 1k on and dont want to wait around for that.

now I dont to commit the amount of time I will need to commit to do this if there is not enough intrest in it. if there is good amount of intrest I would be happy to commit a month doing this for you guys. so vote if you would like to see this.

been talking to another member here that I respect a lot.

what we have decided to do is this, Im going to play the $25max level and do videos on it.

at same time he is going to do the $50max and do videos on it.

afterwards we would like you to watch both videos, we will each bring one out the same day each week and you can compare. We will both be playing the same TAG style and we hope you will see that playing like this is both profitable at both levels.

sound good?

again give me a month to get family expenses out of the way.

I would love to see the vids. This is pretty much what I do now multitabling with a TAG style. It's profitable for me but I'm sure there are things I can learn from watching others.

You actually respect somebody?!?

hope this is joke?

there are a lot of people I respect on this forum, it is the reason I continue to post here as often as I do.

I could list them but the list would be too long and I would be afraid I would leave someone out and make them feel bad but for record there are over 10 players here that I would totally avoid playing with for serious money.

this really upsets me, where did I give the impression that I thought I was better then anyone else here?

I gotta hand it to you stormswa, you have loads of integrity and my hat comes off to you for your commitment.

Doing the videos is a noble gesture and I have no doubt in the world that they will be a good tool for helping others. But with the best intention in the world, this will not show or prove that your average player can consistently be profitable at those tables.

It may well show the sound way to play, I don't doubt your ability for one second, but how much editing will you need to do to show that the strategy really works in the long run?

You cannot show videos of yourself chucking hand after endless hand for over an hour - which is what you sometimes have to do. You cannot show the bit when you make a brilliant aggressive move with top pair, raising the other guy's bluff, only for them to hit their runner runner straight - which happens.

It's easy to just show the edited bits where your strategy pays off and then say - there you go, I told you so!

I just think you have to be cautious...no i just think it's wrong to portray online poker as the "easy-money" option that many people on this forum say it is. And saying to the average player that beating the limits up to $1/$2 NL is "pretty easy" just strikes me as being a tad arrogant.

if you have watched any of my videos yet so far you should know I do not edit. I even have one where im yelling at my kid :D
I will be playing more then 1 table so that should take out the bordem part of it. Maybe 2-4 not sure yet how many.

the video series will be played from start to end and the object of them is not to see how much money Joose and I win but how to play solid TAG style poker.

no one said poker is easy but the thing is the players are bad at almost every level until 2/4 that is where they start betting position more then the cards they hold.

im trying to get in touch with guy who did this awhile back and see if Its ok for me to copy his strategy guide so I dont have to type up my own.

I love you stormswa!

thanks I think! :D

we might even lose money in this series but the style we will be playing is proven winning style over time, this is a style I do not play but will for video series.

Quantify "average" and I will try to partake in the discussion.
