It seems to me that playing poker online is beneficial in all respects. You don't have to go far to play and you can do it in any clothes And you don't need to hide your emotions so no one sees you.

I just play live poker with friends, so i would say it is the fun. online poker is convenient, you can play at the comfort of your home and in your phone.
Never played at casinos to have an opinion, not legal in brazil.

From online I see only pluses, you need to play a normal distance and you will definitely win something + downswings are easier to bear and it’s more convenient to play on a computer than offline series

It's nice to play live to meet new people and share both game and personal experiences. Online gambling is more competitive and advantageous in terms of the quantity and variety of games available anywhere and at any time.

For me the advantage of online poker is that I can play multiple tables at the same time and make more money (not always of course...lol) and the disadvantge is that I can't read my opponent as much as I can in live poker.

Well if your "connection" to a live-table gets disrupted it's usually due to an emergency and everyone at the table will have to wait for normalcy, not just the poor sap (usually me) who's internet has decided to sit them out. Viva brick & mortar card-rooms!

You cannot beat a live game of poker. It can be way slower, but it does not feel like that when you're at the table. It is also much easier to gather information on others, by their behaviour, table talk, body language etc. I also like playing with real chips.

Online, It's just so convenient, click click click, if you lose, just play another.

Both has its advantages. Playing online lets you play at home without getting dressed. And you can play a lot more hands But playing live with people is cool as well. You have a lot more time to think and it can be entertaining to chat with people.

Personally both have there advantages and disadvantages. The biggest for me is simple. I can afford to play online anytime I want to. There is not live poker within a 1 1/2 hour drive and there tournaments are so limited and so high a buy in I can afford to play live.

Live without a doubt. I tried the online stuff on the major sites during the boom and would still have a dead connection when I had something on the line and I can't tell you how many times I was heads up against someone but they would quit on me online so I started playing Heads up SNGs online lol.

I LOVE ACR but what happens like the 1st or 2nd Cardschat freeroll or actually one of the 1st few tourns I played in Jan 2022 when I started playing poker on a regular basis again?

"We're sorry, but your tournament has been. . . " paused or something for technical difficulties, lol. I haven't experienced that since and again, I LOVE ACR but it was an evil reminder of why I would rather play live if I was serious about poker. The tourn resumed like 20 mins later but I still wasn't happy.

Never had to worry about a disconnect but Ive been in killer traffic and regretted going to the casino but it was still better than a disconnect online.

I also like seeing who I'm playing but that's just me. I heard of nightmare stories of collusion, multiple accounts and bots and lots of nasty things even back then and didn't like what I heard. Sure you'll get a buddy/buddy or wife and husband here and there at the live table but its nothing like that online stuff.

The weekend tourns are always the big draw online so that has always been the big draw for them. But if you're not really a tourn player like I was but a cash player, then live was really the way to go because the same limits live were almost always softer than online back then, anyway.

Even if you live far away from a casino but you know it has enough players like Vegas, NOLA, Atlantic City, parts of Florida- Miami and Tampa, just to name a few in the US you could drive a few hours on the weekends stop at a truck stop or rest area to get a few hours sleep if need be, then continue on to the casino and do the reverse going home.

As long as you planned it out and found safe spots for a layover then its not a big deal playing live.

Even playing overnight, same thing, stop the session in the early morning then find a rest area to change clothes after you have some sleep or go to a truck stop and see if they have car parking spaces available then take a shower for a few bucks and go back to the casino for the next day if it was a Saturday and you knew folks would be there early afternoon but not when its dead like during the early weekday afternoons, lol.

And never do that in a mall or Walmart shopping area unless its open 24 hours and you have permission by just walking in the store and tell the manager you've been driving too many hours and looking for a spot to get some sleep for a few hours.A lot of times they'll say ok. But if the stores are closed and try to stay there then the police or a psycho could wake you up, lol.

Ohh the stories of going to the casino and meeting people, lol. I babbled long enough, lol the answer is LIVE!

I've never played live poker, only online, I want to play live one day, but I'm afraid of making a fool of myself, the dynamics of live are very different from online.

I definitely prefer online to live. Can spend my money on pots instead of wardrobe. Dn't have smelly neighbors. Can play what level or game I want when I want. But of course the USA's political, business and religious dictators want to control every facet of everyone's life (and money). The real No Fun Legion. So I'll stick mainly to live until the FREE MY MOUSE!!!

Ever tried multitasking when playing live?

Apart from that, no travel or other expenses, no need to worry about the weather, and a lot more.

I like playing live poker. The field is often softer and we can experience the atmosphere of real play. But online poker is more convenient, we can play more hands, more tables anywhere anytime.

For me, online poker is right.
It’s so much more comfortable, you don’t have to travel, and if someone is good at poker, sitting at home and leaning back can win you as much as you do live.
The downside to online poker over live poker is that there isn't that much physical information about the player, but anyone who plays online and is pro has software that is good and helps a lot again.
Both options have advantages and disadvantages, everyone can decide which one to choose, which one is more sympathetic to him.

The advantage of offline poker that you can meet a lot of people and talk with them, experience poker live and can be sure that play always the same people while you playing on your table, the disadvantage if you are very emotional and have temperamental character its difficult to stay calm after a important hand which you lose, the advantage of online poker is that you can make a break how do you want or drink coffee while you playing, but also parallel hear music, watch a movie or drink alcohol or smoke, disadvantage you can't see what the opponent doing and worse read the hand

the best poker is when you play it live. The problem is that not in every city you have the possibility to play live poker
