If you want to improve your poker skills through "play money" I suggest playing at pokerstars. The million's buyins play like micro's, or they take it seriously. If you don't have millions then what can I say:dontknow::confused:

Even at NL2 you might hurt your skills. So move up as fast as you can.

Long time ago I played play money before real session to warm hand reading skills and kill "calling station" in myself. later I found hand analysis session was better idea.

I did play money to learn how to play. The hand rankings and get familiar with the software. I got trading before trying real money. Play is completely different.

No not true at all about 2nl, if you can't beat 2nl you can't beat any stakes. Play money is useless and will only teach you bad habits.

if you have your strategy set than it shouldnt affect you too much since you know thats not how poker is really played. but if youre learning and taking in knowledge from the play money games then i think it will impact you negatively.
