Playing more online poker games makes me lose focus and patience and start playing very often. Every time I convince myself that next time I should not do this, but then history repeats itself.

I have been playing poker most days for a very long time and before covid I was in the casino every day. I never ever got tired of " live poker " but online poker is different.

Live poker you are chatting to poker friends, chip shuffling, reading your opponents and it's more relaxed. I am finding days and days of online poker tiring and mentally exhausting, sometimes I just want a break from it which I never had with live poker.

I am putting this down to multi table action , constant analysis of hands and faster variance due to more hands played.

Also the emotional side of this drains me too, seeing coolers/bad beats and feeling angry because your opponents played a hand badly and taken your hard earned chips. Or you play a hand badly and you are upset with how you played it.

Internet poker you a playing thousands of hands more than a live game, in my opinion if you can play well online you can play well live.
Yes. I completely agree that online poker is mentally draining. The fast pace requires high concentration.

Sometimes it's better to take a break from playing, you know. I've not been playing for about 2 months, so I'd like to try something cool and new. Any advice?

Live poker to me is much more draining, you have have no HUD, you have to worry about giving off live tells, and you need to focus on the other players tells. I think the stress is higher live as well....if you make a mistake and lose you cant just open up another table. Online you dont have to tip the dealer, dont have to tip the waitress, dont have to buy food and drink, and you dont have to drive to and from.

Yeah Turbo tourneys are like scratch off lottery tickets. It’s not real poker I’d avoid those types of tourneys.
I think there is also some kind of strategy, otherwise there would be no regulars

I accept it. When you play online poker all the time, your eyes get very tired from the monitor. Even when you're playing, almost everything is done for you, you just have to press buttons.

The psychological component of poker is very important. Often even more important than the playing technique itself. How to show your best game? How not to tilt? How to deal with prolonged downswings? How do you tell when you're playing really bad from a downswing? The answers to these questions are very difficult to find. Moreover, you will not find thousands of waters on this topic. How to show your best game? Play in short sessions, never play right after waking up, and never play when tired. Why play in short sessions? It's simple - our brain is designed in such a way that it is able to work effectively for about an hour, and then performance deteriorates. Playing poker is a constant workload that exhausts you very quickly. As soon as you get a little tired, you start playing on auto-pilot, which is detrimental to your win rate. Moreover, become more irritable, and this is the first step to a gross and expensive mistake.

Hey there. I hear you on the grind of online poker. It's definitely a different vibe than live, but hey, that's the beauty of options. Multi-tabling and constant analysis can take a toll on the mind, but it's all worth it when you crush the competition. And the variance can be tough, especially when those bad beats and coolers hit. But hey, don't let it get you down!

Somedays i get sucked out one after one...i cant help it! And the next day, i hit every card i want.

Today i have won my ticket for the pokerstars $7.500.000 Event and i love it! Feels very good to know that it could be work, but truly it was very hard work, maximal focus on the table and what my oppenents are doing all the time. Don´t watch on your Smartphone or something, if you wanna really win money or tickets.
Focus and play the good cards relaxed. If you hit, play along. If not, fold. Simple as that. So you will not 1 second be mad. You love the game, because you only play good cards! Look at this $7.500.000 Entry ...
Cheers

Hi, sounds like you might like playing online with friends check this out as some online sites offer. There is an abundance of online sites that offer the possibility of setting up your own private poker game. Players won't need to download any software to enjoy online poker since all games are played in-browser. All you need to do is pick a site, open it, select a game, and invite your friends to join.

Emotions are a part of the game, and it's important to recognize when it's time for a break. It's great that you're taking some time for yourself, and maybe it's a good idea to try something new like evo, a fresh take on online gaming. Check it out, maybe it'll be just what you need. And remember, don't be afraid to step away from the virtual felt when you need a breather. Good luck!

Good morning everyone, poker is a very competitive game, if you are finding it exhausting it is a good sign to study more and practice, poker is an excellent game.

I get more worn out playing online poker, as I end up playing several tournaments at the same time, at a much faster pace than in person and for much longer, this makes my weariness increase a lot in the final stretch of tournaments

The truth is that just being in front of a screen can make you tiring, not seeing expressions or not knowing how the other one feels, your way of playing makes it even more difficult. But if you are in really important tournaments, it doesn't matter if it's virtual or live, you won't be exhausted, you can try a gaming partner since it's online and having company is never bad.

To some extent its about our personality, iguess. I cant picture myself playing as much as i do now, could be that not at all, if there was no online poker. And its easier to take gambler addicts rent money, if you dont have to look eye to eye with them everyday. :):p

For me, if you are prepared to play both live and online, to make any kind of decision, you will be profitable in both, I say prepared based on study and more study, not recreational poker, but professional poker.

at the beginning it will cost you a lot to adapt to this pace of play, where you can play long sessions of more than 6 hours, and then you will get used to it and you can do it without problems, online poker is exhausting but you have to distribute the time well in the sessions you have, you must separate a time to rest and regain energy.

Good morning everyone, poker is a mental game, so you always need to be focused.
I've been playing poker since 2018, when I started playing after just a few hours of playing, I already felt very tired and with time you get more and more resistant, today I can play for 14 hours straight, the main difference is that I know more or less I have to do it on every play, which takes away a lot of mental fatigue.
This mental fatigue decreases over time, and the same as starting to practice running on a regular basis, each time you get further and with the same fatigue.

I don't agree with you. If a player has good results in an online game, it does not mean that he will also be able to achieve such results in a live game. The live game is fundamentally different, more complex and requires the player's experience, that is, I mean the experience of playing live.
