Lobby Against Online Poker
Is Online Poker hurting your personal life with your family?
Has Online Poker consumed your time with minimal results?
How does Online Poker affect your Real Life?
I think these questions should be addressed if we are to remain true to our commitments in life. I believe that the larger portion of our "poker community" at this site might feel these questions and others are fair questions.
Many of us play online poker for different reasons and goals. But when does it become an interference in Real Life? How many does it affect? Family life, personal time consumed, times' one might feel cheated not of money but that of time.
Does forums such as this perpetuate and exploit a mental illness of addiction?
We know this to be likely true but never discuss it.
I am curious if some of our members or maybe even likely a majority of our members have been sucked down a rabbit hole of deceit and mental sickness of addiction.
We all know a certain amount of personal blame should be placed upon an individual but when do when do we begin to admit that some blame must be placed upon poker sites such as CardsChat and other similar sites take some responsibility perpetuating the addiction and mental illness of losing players? Where is the line in the sand of personal decision and propagated rhetoric drawn?
Should some of us begin to become more pro-active in the Lobby against Online Poker without regulation? Clearly we know of the ongoing problem of BOTS and Collusion. But I think it is imperative that we also recognize that sites like WPN(no regulation) have a clear directive of "trickle up economics"
