Fulltilt for me. I played on UB but did not care of it at the time. Doylesroom had promise but never had many people in it or it was for high stakes games I forget. Just remembered I wanted to play in it but was unable to.

I mostly miss PokerStars but since I won't go with play money that's a no go now, after the way Full Tilt did people they can just keep walking no matter what .... hopefully there will come a time when here I the land of the free and the home of the brave they will allow peeps to think for themselves again, I would love to be able to play at PokerStars again.

Couldn't agree more about missing pokerstars, I loved having so many options 24/7. I do occasionally torture myself by playing the play money games occasionally. Wishful thinking I suppose. I never remember playing on Full Tilt; I think I had an account but never or minimally used it. So, I wanted to ask you since you mentioned them, what did they do to people? I probably should already know, but I don't, lol. Thanks and cheers!

When Black Friday came here in the US instead of logging in we logged into a DOJ banner saying the site was closed, at which point it was discovered by accident that Full Tilt didn't have the money to cover their customer accounts .... They even labeled Full Tilt a ponzi scheme ....

PokerStars gave me my money back and as far as I know made everything right with American customers .... I lost nearly 1500 Dollars US from Full Tilt and that was a very, very, very Minimal loss .. some lost a lot of money ...

Only one of their big wigs even bothered to apologize ...kind of ... long after the fact..none of the others even thought their customers deserved that ....as is the case with things like this just pretending to act like you care .. an apology ... Gee I hate this happened to you all ...anything would have taken some of the bad taste out ... but they did not choose to take those actions.

Some of these people were so called respected " Pros " Not that any one person is truly more honorable than others .... ultimately their reputation suffered, but small change compared to how much others lost without even an I'm sorry ... and that is probably the worst of it .. as people we can be taken advantage of in many ways and still go back for more punishment .... but when they basically laughed at the entire poker community it sticks around .. I for one will not forget....

Players were paid out their balances from Fulltilt. All you needed to do was request it. Took a bit of time for USA players to get their money but I'm fairly certain it was all paid out. (no doubt there is a very large thread here on Cardschat that talks about it).

Do you know a big part of the reason why Fulltilt didn't have the cash on hand to cover player's balances? They continued to put U.S. player deposits through even though they were having difficulty getting them via payment processors. But from my understanding they continued to push on, not wanting to inform the customers of the problem in hopes that it would be rectified 'soon'. A LOT of U.S. players were playing with money that was never actually drawn from their bank accounts /credit cards.

I never got a dime back from Full Tilt I jumped through hoops for weeks and still nothing ... Pokerstars on the other hand made it easy and gave me back every penny ... what you say may be correct about how deposits were made and processed that is beyond me and still not my fault. And when I sent them their money for my first and only deposit it was gone and out of my hands, it also wasn't allowed on a cc or check account.. I had to send a wire transfer through Western Union, which was verified cash into their account...I don't know anyone that got their roll back, no one. Although the other side of the story was loud and clear, and several of my friends lost too even after jumping through their hoops and playing their game.. for those that were fortunate I'm glad, but I never met one of them, and I will not forget and I was unimpressed with how any of us were dealt with.

I miss PKR used to play on it most nights, also used to play on Noble Poker as well.
I do not miss the sites as much as missing playing in the environments and not having to worry on the sites that I put my money in and not being somehow cheated.

Those feelings have long been destroyed over the years.

In those poker rooms that I started playing for a long time, I play in them, but only I - I miss - on some tournaments that they removed in the poker room, such poker tournaments remained but the ticket is very rarely dropped out in the chests, it was easier before in the room - you get the title-chrome-silver or goldstar and you can freely play in the tournament, and now you need to get the ticket to the in the chest and then you can play in such tournaments!

Wow, that is really crazy; I am glad I didn't have any money/play on FT. Sorry that happened to you and all the others - 'similar to a Ponzi scheme' seems fair. poker stars definitely paid. They actually made a mistake, and paid me my last cash out, 2x. I didn't complain..:)

Thanks for sharing that; I never knew. And they were such a big operation, and to not even apologize, how wickedly wrong. And I suppose there was no recourse available to you or anyone else who fell victim to their bs. So wrong, and on so many levels. :frown:

May you all get your FullTilt justice one day soon!

I miss Paradise Poker from back in the day. To me, it was a precursor to PokerStars' future greatness. They had so many games going all the time, at different variations and levels, and the software was good. But now I miss being able to play on PokerStars for real money. :(

I really miss Poker Stars. Day or night there was always lots of activity. So many games to choose from. Easy, easy withdrawals. You could put your account on hold for a week or more with the click off the button. (You didn't have to contact support to request it.) I remember how I used to win tournament tickets/bucks to the big Sunday game worth over $200, but instead I'd use my tournament bucks to play in smaller tourneys so I didn't have to re-deposit. Those were the good old days.

I remember Black Friday like it was yesterday. Then I find out you can play in New Jersey but only with NJ players. I hope it comes back to the US one day.

Yes I miss Pokerstars so so much ... it's a sad state of online for Americans

Pokerstars has the best software, most reliable customer service, and most legit RNG. Black Friday was a sad day :(:(

Full Tilt players actually got paid too btw, Pokerstars bought the company and made good on all the American player balances. Hell it turned out even AP/UB players got their money as the DOJ took the leftovers from unclaimed balances at FTP and stars and used it to pay UB/AP customers. So literally everyone who had money on any of the big 3 sites got paid or at least had the opportunity to get paid .

I miss Iron Poker and the weekly Canadian freeroll and the original full tilt poker before greedy Amaya corporation took it over.

I miss PKR also so much. It was such a funny and sociable poker room.
Small, but kinda familiar. Really sweet.I wished it still would exist. There I stopped my fishy times at Full Tilt after they closed. So for me it was not so bad, that they closed. I learned how to play in a plus and about bankroll management.
But I see, how terrible it is for the Americans, that many poker rooms are closed for
them in this thread. Really terrible, it is a shame.

I miss Full Tilt Poker and Cake Poker. Although back then I wasn't a winning player but still enjoyed the games and skins there!
