No & I've been playing online for 17yrs., much longer than that for Live poker.

IF I thought it was 'set up' I wouldn't play.

I think it's actually a little more complicated. But the conclusion that poker rooms can make some adjustments to the game in order to get more money seems quite simple. Whether they tweak the RNG in favor of recreational players or do something else, the financial interest of the rooms in deliberately changing the results, at a minimum, cannot be denied.Sounds like the perfect business strategy. However, we generally do not believe that poker rooms actually deliberately rig hands.

I have "only" been playing since 2016, but same here. So far I have racked up 24.501 games on pokerstars + a smaller amount on 888 Poker and ACR. And I would not have spend all that time, if I thought, these sites were a "setup".

no, poker sites have no setup, each of them just work as intermediaries, we make tournaments for players and we pay to play there that's all. If you're just unlucky in the tournament doesn't mean that you're against you just today is not your day because there are a lot of players like you win and lose like you. If you don't trust a poker site, it's better not to play

Playing online poker has its advantages and disadvantages compared to offline play. One of the main benefits is convenience and accessibility: you can play at any time from the comfort of your home, saving the time and effort of traveling to a casino or poker club. Online play also offers a wider selection of games and limits, allowing players to find a match that best suits their skill level and budget.

On the other hand, online poker requires certain technological skills and the ability to focus in a virtual environment where you can't see your opponents in person. This can make it more challenging to read "poker tells," though experienced players can learn to recognize betting patterns and make decisions based on opponents' behavior in a virtual setting.

Regarding the game being "rigged," online poker typically uses advanced algorithms and random number generators to deal cards, making the game fair and random. Of course, like any game, there's always a risk of fraud or abuse, but reputable and well-known online poker sites invest significant resources in ensuring fair play and protecting against fraud.

Ultimately, the choice between online and offline poker depends on personal preferences. Both formats offer unique challenges and opportunities, and many players enjoy playing in both environments.

Definitely yes. The online game is more dynamic and faster than the live game. I play in the evenings after work on my home PC. I don't have to spend time on the road, I can eat, drink, or even lie on the sofa during the game. The online game is definitely more comfortable for me and I prefer it.

Online you can play at any time, for me this is the biggest advantage.

The other day I was watching the EPT Paris 2024 , you can't imagine how ''rigged'' the flips were , so my answer is a big NO!

its hard to say but if you understand that hosting online poker is a bussiness you can definetly see and understand the opportunities for set ups for example low rake tourneys isnt in the favor to host of running for too many hours the more tourneys you reg the better for the company and so on and so forth

I don't believe poker rooms (online or live) are set-up. I believe the best players (top 15%) can win consistently over the long run. There is luck involved, as it depends what cards you are dealt but I think it's mostly a game of strategy.

It's not clear what the settings mean, but if you mean RNG, it's probably not, but all losers talk about it, followed by winners who lost. :sneaky:
