I genarally go for both. Usualy only min cash or a level or two above that in tournaments, with the rare 1st place and quite a few final tables.

If you mean poker, then the path through the satellites leads to nowhere. But you can be very very very lucky, and then this path is for you.

I take risks and try satellites to play for higher stakes. By playing KO tournaments, you can earn enough $ to spend on entering a satellite which, after winning a seat, will ensure you play in a tournament with a medium or higher buy-in.

Aghhh don’t lol.... Online I was just throwing money away. I do will in 180 am doing less SNGs, tournaments I can’t sit around long enough for. I’m revamping my play as I wish to play online more and reverse my negative online life balance. It has to be slow & steady sometime down the road because you need to properly manage your roll after you hit that big win! So I believe in taking shots but you can't keep taking shots!!

Personally, I like to accumulate my winnings by playing elimination multi-tournament tables, I like that game system and it is the one I chose to grow my bankroll.

I would choose to gradually accumulate my winnings, as there is very little probability of hitting the jackpot

I think it's possible to do both. Mostly I play trying to gradually increase my winnings and stakes. But I usually use the money that I win in freerolls to play satellites or when I win some good prize in freerolls to play a tournament with a higher buy in.

I don't think its possible to adopt one strategy or the other. Most players clearly don't win massive tourneys, but at the same time many make a profit from big wins, even if these are not full on Jackpot size!!!

Surely no one would turn down a jackpot cos they prefer to accumulate!!

Cardschat freerolls are great to be fair. I find the quality of player in them is much better so right from the start of a tourney it's feels like a proper event that you can learn from

They seem to be the best place right now to start a bankroll from and gain experience

Both options are worth considering. But personally, I have my own good version. I steadily increase my bankroll by playing in freerolls, and on Saturdays and Sundays I play in the most promising satellites where there are a large number of prize seats.

I think you should increase your bankroll gradually, as it is unlikely to hit the jackpot
