Yesterday was Awesome!! I live near Detroit (3 casinos). One of them is the Greektown Casino. Yesterday I went there to meet Chris Moneymaker. He was there signing books. It was so cool, I ended up getting two books signed. One for me and one for my friend. He was talking to me about how he plays, what he pushes all in and what he'll lay down. He said he was playing in the casino there the night before. So, after that I went to the poker room to play. As many of my cardschat friends on here know, I don't have a lot of money and have never been to a casino to play poker before. Well, I sat down at the $50min./$100max. NL table with $50 and it was fun. I played for 2 1/2 hours. The blind structure was $1 and $2. The third hand I played I picked up AA in late position (next to the button) and raise it to $10. The Button pushed all in, (he had me covered) I had $37 left and of course called. Board was a blank for him and I took down a nice pot. The other significant hand was against a new guy that just took down a huge pot with a flush. I had As Kd and was next to the button. The pot was raised once before me to $20, I called and so did the button. 4 callers total. Flop was js,qs,3s. Checked to me. I bet $20, 2 callers. The turn was 7h. Now the first player to act was the new guy and he bet $80. I had $76 left. Oh My, what to do. Well when the "new guy" won his big pot earlier with his flush he took a long time to go all in and this time he raised his $80 immediately. So I was thinking he was on a draw. Now the pot was about $220 and I had to put in $76 to call. So i was like 3-1 on my money. I thought about it which seemed to be an eternity, All eyes on Me, and I estamated my outs at 12. 9 full outs for the flush 2 for the 10 and 1 for the Ace. Well 12 outs(trying to remember my chart). ah yes 2.8-1. Remember i am a beginner here. So I call, my hand was shaking like a leaf on a tree whe I pushed my chips in. The button folded, and the New guy says "I'm on a draw" I said "me too". We flipped our cards and he had 8h 9d. WOW he was drawing for the 10!!! And that would give me a higher straight. He had six outs, an 8 or a 9 and the river card was a ........... Ah. I took dow a HUGE pot and left the table abut two hands later with $265. I am still Jacked up about this and I wanted to share it with you guys. Man did that guy put me to the test. I can't believe he played like that. My first experience in the Casino was Awsome. And Diablo is right, live poked is head and shoulders above the on line game. What a RUSH!!!!!!!!! :icon_chee
