You are absolutely right - just ignore them and concentrate on the game.
If they are harmless and do not get into fight, then you can annoy them a little so that they make mistakes and fly out of the game faster.
The MAIN is YOUR RESULT and the winners are not judged.
Hello all,

I just played a deep stack at my local casino...I made it down to heads up and we decided to split first and second prize...tourney was six hours in, and instead of playing heads up for 1800/1080, we decided 1440 each was better.

However, during my long journey towards the final table, I played with some people who wanted to make rude comments about the way I was playing...things like "your overbets arent working, are they?" or "Who do you think you are, Ive been playing for over ten years!"

I guess you had to be there, but you could tell by the tone of their voice that they were being mean. A lot of us were having a good time, but it was the two or three that were really being rude...not just to me, but others as well.

This kind of behavior makes me nervous (thats why I don't ever wanna play with hellmuth lol). Any opinions as to how you all handle situations like that...I just tended to ignore and concentrate on the game. I don't play at this tourney often.

Thanks a lot, and good luck to you all!

In these situations, you must ignore this kind of behavior, you must keep doing the right thing, and stund by, because these uncivilized people are unpredictable. Their behavior is a weakness and will cause them problems.:nurse:

as a woman I feel it could be partly the reason some are rude to me, they say sh*t like oh your a woman you shouldnt even be here

thats bs, women can play

bs, some men are horrible players (donks) some are good, just like women some are good some are bad but to say that all women play horrible is just plain stupid

in general its stupid when ppl are rude like that at the table thats all i have to say

Have you considered they say stupid things like this because they KNOW it affects how you play? Not condoning it - just saying - maybe they are being idiots on purpose to take you off your A game.

*edit* LOL
I just replied to a post that is 10 years old. HA!

Have fun be nice

Ask them to just try to have fun and a good time that's why we play. And to try our best.

If it's towards me the rudeness I just don't care and sometimes just tell them a little joke so they can keep steaming, if I see it escalating then call the floor manager to escort him out.

I always switch the chat for informations about the tournament (how many players left, my position, avg. stack, etc.) at the beginning of each one. I'm even not able to watch comments from that fools :p

Sometimes if they are aggressive players and rude you can inflame them a bit and raise them with good hands, they will call most of the time and trap set.

Hmmm I think how I handle these players greatly depends on my mood, and whether or not it's an online or live game.

Online, most of the time I just block their chat, or switch over to stats. ...but admittedly, I will also egg them on if I'm in the mood for it. I find the rude players tend to go on tilt more easily, so If I feel like listening to their s**t why not use it to my advantage.

Live, these players bother me more. I tend to just ignore them. I don't think they affect my game play, but not being able to shut them up is very annoying.

I guess it really depends on the person making the remarks and whether or not you feel you can gain a greater edge on them with a particular response.

In general, I would advise you to maintain class and let such remarks go, as long as feasibly possible. If the remarks are repeated or truly abusive, consider involving the floor person/tournament director. I've been made to feel uncomfortable in the past, but I try to not let it dissuade me from jumping back in and playing my best game.

[Quote = Timmah120; 1267604] Hi everyone,

I just played the big stack at your local casino ... I made it to heads-up, and we decided to split the first and second prize ... tournament lasted six hours, and instead, to play heads up for the 1800/1080, we decided that in 1440 one was better.

However, during my long journey to the final table I was playing with some people who would like to make rude comments about how I played ... things like "your Overbet not work, is not it? Or" Who are you, how do you think I've been playing for more than ten years! "

I think you had to be there, but you could tell by the tone of their voices that they were evil. Many of us have a good time, but only two or three were really rude ... not just for me but for others too.

This behavior makes me nervous (which is why I never want to play with hellmuth lol). Any opinions on how you deal with these situations ... I just tried not to pay attention and focus on the game. I do not often play in this tournament.

Thank you very much, and good luck to you all! [/ QUOTE]
The answer is simple, if that someone does not like the way I play here and anyone who does not hold

Today I played Spin & Go and I was left one at one that player was very rude and I decided that I would be rude too, but basically ignore. And as soon as I get a good hand go all in. So I deceived the rude player.:):)
